Did you mean:

how to turn off "Try a preview of the new dashboard"?

I somewhat enjoyed the tiled dashboard for a while, but started logging food intake recently, and was disappointed the "Calories In vs Out" tile is missing from it (it's present on desktop). So I switched back to the old interface, as that over/under data is there.

However, now I have the @$#(%! annoying pink bar asking me to try the new dashboard. FitBit devs, please make the app not be daft: if I JUST came from the new dashboard, do not re-advertise it again immediately. Or at least give me option to silence that blinding bar.

I agree, I also like the old dash better and I find the pink bar very annoying as well.

Keep Steppin!

@M4c1ek, if you scroll to the right through all the screen for the info/demo of the new dashboard, and then select to not use it, it should eliminate the bar at the top ask you to try it, doesn't it?

Thanks for trying to help.

When I tap on pink bar in the old interface I get switched *immediately* to
tile view. There are no intro / demo screens. I suspect this has to do
with the fact I've been using new interface for some time (before deciding
to switch back).

@M4c1ekI have the same issue... Cannot eliminate the "Try a preview of the new Dashboard".

So if I have accidentally tapped that I just tap Account, Advanced Settings, Switch back to old Dashboard... Still reverses for me..

I presume that is what you are having to put up with.. I have never used the new Dashboard...

@Ann178, on the app simply go to the Account page and select Advanced Settings. There select Switch back to the old Dashboard.

Thank you Larry. I never would have found it.

Have a great day!

Equally annoyed with the advertising of their crappy new dashboard.  It should tell them something that folks would rather look at the crappy annoying pink bar than the crappy new dashboard.....  for months at this point.  SHEESH!

"...and then select not to use it..."

How do you do that other than choosing, "Switch back to old Dashboard", which simply takes you back to the old dashboard, with the pink "Try a preview..." still showing?

Also, is there ANY chance that FitBit will rethink the division of steps/floors/miles/cals/minutes on the top portion of the new dashboard from everything else on the bottom portion? Or maybe just put a switch on the top portion to allow us to totally eliminate it and just show the lower? Not one of those 5 choices has any value to me except steps, and that's immediately available (and more up to date) on my FitBit itself. Everything I want to see on my Android is off the initial screen. It's nicer looking but pretty useless to me. Finally, is there a date set when FitBit will force this change on us? Thanks.
