Hi everyone,
Thanks for stopping by the Community to report this error with Friend Requests in the Fitbit for Android app.
I'll be escalating the issue to our app developers for investigation.

Also, the app is not recognising a friend who owns a fitbit. That person is there in my contacts app of the phone, but under the contacts section in fitbit, he doesn't show up. So then tried adding him with his username and email ID and received the 403 error message.
Best AnswerIs anyone from Fitbit finding a solution to this? I have been experiencing this issue for months now!
Did you get this resolved!? Im gettibg this, drivibg me nuts

I'm still getting this error when trying to add friends. Any solution coming soon?
I still get this error message regardless which option I try. My daughter and I will be sitting right beside each other and nothing. We have both tried adding each other several times.
Help!

It gives me this error as well. I worked around most of this by getting an email invite else I think certain models of phones just aren't able to send friend requests to others and that really is unfortunate. Is this still being escalated?

mine doesn't work...though I did get a random friend request from someone I don't know
I bought this to link with friends specifically...it doesn't. Yet no response whatsoever... not good is it?

No response from Fitbit only shows and demonstrates their unprofessionalism. Should make a YouTube video about it.

Hi everyone! Due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, let me welcome you to our Fitbit Community.
I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you've experienced while trying to send a "Friend Request". Please make sure that your phones have the most recent Fitbit app version installed. If the app is up to date, try logging out of the app, restart your phones, open the app and log in.
Also, have the people you send the requests to to check the spam or junk folders of their email accounts and see if the invitations are there.
In the meantime, follow try sending the request through the online Dashboard and have your friends to accept the invitation through the computer as well.
We appreciate your patience and time with this.
Keep me posted.
