Still doesn't work for me. I have tried everything, uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting my phone, logging out and back in, nothing works. Thinking about just taking it back at this point. 😞

Hi @su51bfc, thank you for joining us in this thread. I'm sorry to hear that you are also experiencing the same issue. Please provide a screenshot of the error message you are getting. You can follow the steps listed in the article I shared in my previous post in order to add images to your posts.
In the meantime, try sending the friend request through a computer and have your friend to check out their "Spam" or ""junk" folders and have them to accept the request from there, through a computer.
Keep me posted.
Best AnswerMe and my bro just got the inspire HR today. He's got iPhone. I've got android. He can add friends just fine. I can't add anyone via the search username also it's not picking up any of my contacts via email Facebook and contacts from phone is incomplete. Wanted to report. Its not great User experience from app perspective if your on android. Will wait for updates
I can not send or receive. One friend added me no idea how. I get that error and even though I enabled the access it does not pull up anyone on my contacts list facebook or wont let me send an email. I am frustrated as well.

As of today, I am still receiving the error code 403 when attempting to add a friend. This is definitely an error with the functionality of the application itself. I've read comments dating back over a year now and still do not see a resolution. Extremely frustrating to say the least. This is a mechanism that myself and friends thought we would be able to use to keep each other motivated on our paths to better health and fitness.
Six months later (07/27/20) I am getting the same error: Failed to send Friend request [ERROR 403] [URL https://android-cdn-api.fitbit.com/1.1/used/-/friends/invitations] What do I do now?
Best AnswerCollectively, we have provided screen shots and it's been a long time since the issues were first reported and yet it remains...why are we still experiencing this issue?
JuanJo....clearly adding friends from Android, or in my case Windows 10, is not working. Can Fitbit fix this problem? It has been around a LOOOOONNNGG time.
Best AnswerHello. So, I was getting this error as well. Turns out, I was already friends with the person I was trying to add. To double check yourself... Have your friend make a post in a group. Immediately check that group for the post and you will see their post, visit their profile. Send them a message.
Best AnswerGood thought, however these were folks that I just met through a third-party group, so they were not "yet" Fitbit friends.
