Which Android version are you using?
I'm on 5.01 and only see that I have a message, but not the message itself.
Best Answer@martinj3 could be our phones are older, but I still love mine.

I do get call notifications and the names I have on my contact list show on my Blaze.
For texts, it vibrates and tells me I received a message, but I can't see anything.
