Aria Air is not providing consistent weight ins

My Aria Air used to give me consistent weights. If I weighed myself, stepped off and waited for the display to clear, and stepped back on, the weights were identical. I was delighted — this doesn’t often happen with home scales.

Recently, I’ve noticed that this is no longer the case. The two readings can have as much as two pounds difference. This is critical to me, a heart patient. A false reading can cause me to take extra, unneeded medication.

is there anything that I can do, other than to buy a new scale?

Mine never gives accurate readings for body fat, but is within 0.5lb for weight. I read about taking the batteries out for 15 seconds, then put them back in and calibrate it by stepping on it 5 times in a row. I also read about switching between genders, weighing at each gender, then back to accurate gender and calibrating by stepping on it 5 times. My body fat % varied up to 3.4% between 7 times of stepping on the scale, but my weight only varied by 0.2lb. Plus I am seeing a weightloss doctor and the body fat % is off by 7% at minimum from a medical grade scale. Very disappointing to me. If I wanted to just measure my weight I would have gone with a cheaper scale.
