Aria Air keeps flashing limitation line on display

I have just purchased the aria air scale, I set it up as instructed but when it came to weighing the display kept on flashing on and off with the lines that show when imitated Weight is reached, I have restarted and changed the batteries but it continues to do the same thing even when there is nothing on the scale the display will light up and read 348lbs and the lines will appear. What can I do to fix this?
