I bought my Aria Feb of 2015 from Amazon. The first one I received was DoA. The second worked fine until Sept/Oct when I upgraded my Time Warner router to their newest one - the Arris TG1672G.
It is has both 2.4ghz and 5ghz channels and yes, I named both (and without any special characters). After a few months trying to figure it out and contacting Fitbit support, they said my scale was probably defective and sent me a new one.
I just received it today and it still doesn't work. Even the scale will say the router name but it won't connect. It's seriously frustrating. @Seamonkey described it perfectly in this thread - https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Aria/Cant-connect-to-Aria-WiFi/m-p/835019/highlight/false#M8247
"The frustration for me is that I had my scale working just fine for many months but after getting a new computer AND Time Warner's newer modem for wifi and phone and having them set it up (they had set up the old one that did work with my scale), nothing works to get the Aria working.
It shows V37 then says network is <networkname> which is the same name as the old and the new network, says press to change but then nothing works."
=============================
So has anyone (with Time Warner's newest modem, the Arris TG1672G) gotten the Aria scale to actually connect and work?????? I'm just at my wits end.

Nevermind. Found a solution!
I had tried to set up my older Aria via the phone app but it wouldn't work and the only way I got it to work was through the Fitbit software.
For the newer one, I was using the website and the fitbit software trying to get it to connect because of previous experiences.
After continuing research on the matter (and reading a bunch of reviews on various sites, like Amazon, etc) - I saw several stating that something was wrong with the PC connect software for Fitbit and that the only way to set up is through the phone app. In fact, seems to be an ongoing thing for over a year.
So, decided to give this one more try via the Fitbit iphone app/safari and viola! Success.
I hope Fitbit gets the PC issues fixed but until then, at least setting it up through the phone worked.

@PattiDi Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Aria scale is not connecting to your phone nor your computer. I would like to follow up and would like to know if the issue persists or if your Aria scale could be set up.
In the meantime, let me know if you get any error message during the setup process. Also, what is the make and model of your router.
Looking forward to your response!

@PattiDi Thank you for getting back! Regarding your inquiry, the Aria scale connects with any router that runs the protocol 802.11b and bandwidth 2.4GHz. These settings can be reviewed with your Internet service provider.
As previously requested, please let me know if you get any error message during the setup process. This info will help me to assist you accordingly.
I appreciate your time!
