Difficulty syncing after move.

I recently moved and re-set up my aria 2 with the new wifi network. It says it's connected to the network but when it tries to sync I nearly always get the "connection error" message. I think its synced maybe once in the past several weeks.

I have tried removing and re-adding the device as well as connecting it to a different network. My wifi requires that the mac address be added to their system before allowing the device to connect so I have already done that as well.

Hi @LlamaAlex, welcome on board. I'm glad to see you here in the Community!

Thanks for letting me know about your Aria 2, as well for the steps that you've tried to get it connected. You did a great job! As you may know, there are some requirements that are required to meet so the scale can connect. To ensure that they're correct and investigate about this situation, please check the following:

  • Both the network name and password must be no more than 32 characters long.
  • You're using WEP / WPA / WPA2 personal security.
  • The router's frequency setting is 802.11b/g/n under 2.4GHz.
  • Your Aria 2 is placed within 10 feet from the router.
  • You're not using any firewalls or MAC filtering.

  • You aren't using a public Wi-Fi network that requires to accept terms and conditions to join.
  • The Fitbit app is updated to the latest version.

Also, may I know how many times have you seen this error message? If you've only seen it once, please try the setup process 3 more times. Sometimes it takes more than 4 times for the scale to readjust itself.

Let me know how it goes.
