Hi Fitbit/All,
Pretty sure this is one of the most discussed topics already, and multiple people have asked the question. However, I haven't been able to find a concrete answer, so I'll give it a go as well.
At which point should you consider using the Lean Mode as opposed to regular? I know that it states high performance athletes should be using "Lean", which I'm certainly NOT.
However - I work out 6 times a week (Weights, mainly) - And have been so consistantly for the past 1.5 years (about 45 minutes a day - Try to get the job done fast as opposed to lingering around in between sets).
I've only been using the Aria for about a week, but want to start at the right place.
I'm dropping weight at the moment, which seems accurate according to the scale. However, my body fat percentage keeps going up whilst my Lean Mass and overall weight is going down.
This seems highly unlikely to me, considering that I'm not in a major deficit, and I haven't dropped my protein or workouts etc.
If you could provide some feedback on this, that would be much appreciated.
I'm not expecting the actual percentage to be bang on the buck accurate - I'm more interested in the consistency and the trendline of it, i.e. following progress. If I want to check my actual body fat %, I'd probably go get a Dexa Scan done.
Thanks,
Jakob.

@JakobP Welcome to our Fitbit Community! Regarding your inquiry, since you mentioned that you work out 6 times a week, mainly weights, I would recommend changing the Aria settings to "Regular" since "Lean" mode is more oriented for intense activities like running or body builders. For more information about this, please check out this help article.
If you feel that your weigh ins are still inaccurate, let me know and I'll be happy to follow up.
See you around!
