How to work auto pause in fitbit blaze??

If their was an auto pause,  by definition it would require you to do nothing, in that it is automatic.

I haven't read anything about this being a feature. But will look into it.

Pressing the lower right button does pause the tracking.

It does? Mine only brings up notifications

@Salpal23 What screen are you on, during an exercise traking event mine showa a pause button for tye lower right.

So far I've only been able to bring up messages by swiping up.

Auto pause for when cycling would be useful so that I can get an average speed when moving but pauses when at traffic lights etc.

I second this motion. The most useful devices have an auto-pause function, providing more accurate data during a ride. Pausing manually is a workaround. It's not acceptable.

agree completely--so has the Blaze been updated to have an autopause feature?

I cannot believe that this is not available!!!!
Not all people can/like/expect to push buttons to stop a run, walk or bike ride. It can also be dangerous to push while riding or starting...then push. This issue has been brought up many, many, many times but to no avail. Most competitors have it. So as a basic feature, I don't understand why fitbit can't or won't offer this critical feature. Do you??

though if you load your bike ride / run to strava afterwards this then
corrects your moving time and averages.

@rshuklis maybe this issue has been brought up many times but the only feature request i see has only 115 votes and 88 comments over the past 19 months.. This hardly makes it look like a popular request. 

I also see no request for an auto pause for the Blaze.

Rich…..Whether blaze or Surge, it seems logical to me that the ability to AUTOMATICALLY stop the clock
if one, e.g., stops his / her bike, is a given, like in many competitor products…..like telling the time of day.
Whether I get pretty new clock faces is more cosmetic rather than a help for me to track my
TRUE average moving time.

So if I have overstated the many, many, many requests, it is mostly due to the fact that cosmetics seem to
override some basic features ( for me )….so I’ll leave it to the experts to decide what will be done….

Hi there guys! Good to see you in the Community!

I totally understand where you all guys are coming from and I do see this as an important feature that could be added to the activity tracking system.

I would recommend checking this feature suggestion for autopause on the Fitbit Blaze and other trackers as well. You can vote for the suggestion and add your comments there and the more votes it gets, the more chances for it to be implemented. You may see the suggestion here.

Let me know if you have any other concern.
