Blaze 8.301.8 Battery Issue

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So I received the 8.301.8 update for my Fitbit a couple days back, and it's been connecting just fine to my iPhone with iOS 10.2, however now it's looking like the update is draining my fitbit battery abnormally fast. I charged it yesterday morning for instance, and it's now down to 50% this morning, Defore the update i could get at a least 4 or 5 days out of the battery, now it seems like i'm getting less than 2.

Is anyone else having this issue? =\

Thanks for joining us @SpaceToast! That's pretty weird the update should fix the syncing issue between Blaze and iOS. Have you done anything different? Please check tips to maximize the battery life of your Blaze, also restarting the tracker may help.

Additionally, if you've done the procedure posted above and your battery is still not lasting as normal please contact Customer Support so they can further assist.

Hope this helps!

My battery life is still pretty terrible. I havne't done anything different since before the update, so I'm rather annoyed that i have to charge the device almost every night now 😕

I

I am having the same issue. Noticed the problem right after the update.  Battery only lasting about two days.  I have gone through the suggestions to increase battery life, done several resets. The battery light flashing red.  Before update battery lasted 5 days.

Hello I just bought my Blaze on Tuesday evening I charged it up and updated it and went on my way.  Now I did have the brightness on high ( eye sight issues) and all day sync on.... next day when I woke up from my sleep for a night shift I only had 50% battery as well.  I only did a dance workout that Tuesday evening.  Went to the forums and turned brightness to auto HR to auto and turned off all day sync.  CHarged it yesterday afternoon and went to work last night, slept and now again I am charging it before work.  Very frustrating I might as well go back to using my apple watch then!! whats the point of having a device if I have to turn all the options off for it to work the way I want??

Feature suggestions:  Larger font option for notifications!! like the apple watch.  People with eye sight problems cant read their notifications on the device without their glasses!!  Also percent battery information on the app as well as the device not just a bar.

just a quick question off topic but I would like to know  how do you erase messages on your I phone fitbit app?? I have 60 day old messages that I can't delete but on my computer dashboard the messages aren't there.  Thanks!!

Never mind I figured it out!!!

So support was no help. They made me restart my tracker, which made no change 😕 boo. I just want to use my blaze without worrying about the battery.

So what I told them was for the last 2 weeks my battery would die after 2 days of charging and now it won't charge at all. They asked some questions and sent me a email to confirm and my new blaze will be here this week

I still do not have the battery drain issue although I managed to stretch the battery from 5 days to close to 7 with this update. But I will agree with @virgogirl0920 that we need a percentage indicator on the Blaze, and that is something that I suggested.

I jsut spent some time with the vivoactive HR which I still have , but I am back to my blaze now..  I just was on with chat support about my battery and they said to charge it to full and use it normally until it dies then recharge it and see what happens.  I also suggested using percents with the battery.  I don't know how long I have with my battery at medium??  So I recharged it now for fear it will run out fo battery life!!

@virgogirl0920 i suggest if your having battery problems to charge it fully then let it go until it dies,. This does two rhings, first it allows Fitbit to anylize the batteries health, second it tends to rejuvenate the battery.

Of course you want to put it back on the charger soon after the unit shuts down.
