The blaze has only been out for 5-6 months, not a year?

Maybe. Fitbit themselves have only publically committed to 'September' so I suppose it could be the end rather than the beginning of the month but it will hopefully be within the next couple of weeks.
Bear in mind that these updates aren't usually rolled out to everyone on the first day (to maage the server load) so there will be an additional week or so in there for some of us.

What you'd like and what Fitbit would like probably won't align. From historical examples software updates don't happen by country anyway.
