Music Control gets a facelift with Blaze! Learn more about your power to control music below. For a more detailed look at Music Control on your Blaze, please see this help article.
Music Control:
With Blaze, you can control your music with the touch of a button! To access Music Control, simply swipe downward on your home screen. Improvements to this feature include a Bluetooth Low Energy (BTLE) connection for iOS instead of BT Classic. We've also added the ability to rewind and increase/decrease the volume of the song, in addition to fast forwarding and play/pause.
Notes:
No matter what you're rocking out to, we're sure you'll love using Music Control on Blaze!

With Iphone 6 music controls allow me to play my Sirius XM app but once its playing there is no option to pause it - Am I being stupid or is this a flaw?

Mine is doing the same thing.... so frustrating!! I paired it with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge and it's paired but doesn't work, just getting the toggle between "connecting" and "loading music". HELP!!!

@DaphN occasionally I'm having the same issue, i found that pulling the notifacation bar down, doing a long press on the BT icon brings up the BT settings. Now unpair Blaze Classic, and pair again.
Another point, and I'm not sure why but im finding that the BT is turning off, so check that first.

Did you hold the upper right hand button down? Are you connected?

I get around this by first pairing the Blaze with my phone, then start a music application (Google Music in this case). Afterwards, I pair my head phones (Jabra bluetooth). This enables me to control my music from my blaze while wearing the headphones. Might take a few tries to get it to work correctly though.
My phone is a Galaxy S6 btw.
THANK YOU! This worked for me!!! (Also using Galaxy S6) w/ bluetooth headset.

@Tori8150 yes the holding off the Action button is how to activate music control while in exercise mode. Thank you for pointing out that this works in any screen, I had not noticed this, and have been going back to the clock screen then doing the down swipe.
It is so much easier knowing your tip.

What are these "wired" headphones of which you speak? I've seen some in a museum once....

yes, any screen works just holding down the button. I have wireless earbuds that I use at the gym. Hopefully everything will work. I haven't tried it yet.

I'm using a VZ Galaxy S5 and a Motorola S10-HD Bluetooth Headset, and everything is working, and I'm using spotify, not even the default android music player on the phone. Play/Pause/Skip/Back/Vul+/Vol- are all working via the blaze. And interestingly, the skip/back buttons on the headset continue to work as well. I had assumed either the blaze or the headset would have surrendered control, but they are both working.
The only "problem" that I notice is that the track name that is shown on the Blaze is not always accurate and the icon for pause/play is not either, however, pressing it does get the proper result. For example. The Music is not playing, but the blaze button shows the Pause button. If you press the pause button, the music will start but the icon doesn't change. Another press and the music stops, but the icon stays the same. Quirky for sure, but nothing I'm ready to complain about.
FWIW, I also tested using the siriusXM app and the blaze controlled that as well.

Yes Connected can see song playing however cannot skip - songs touch double arrows and all it does is "stutter" the song VERY frustrating Have done ALL the trouble shooting steps!!
Using iOS so do not get Bluetoooth choices on watch... wiped everything out...re-booted everything STILL no joy...I get connected easy -- no problem just does not function as advertised CANNOT SKIP songs..
This function works GREAT on my SURGE!!

I couldn't make it work today when I had bluetooth headphones on - pretty disappointed in that 😞

with my JBL wireless earbuds, I connected music to my watch first, then I turned on the earbuds. I still had control of the music on my wrist and I could hear it.

Similar issue for me with a Nexus 6 using Google Music as the player. Blaze shows the song and I can adjust volume on it, but the skip track and pause/play functions do nothing at all.

hlk and others I am running a Blaze, connected to iPhone 6, iOS 9.3
I attempted working with all kinds of music playing programs...got some to work, but would have to PAY to listen to my own "paid for" library...No Joy
Finally downloaded Amazon - WORKED - complete control as advertised... AND little did I know Amazon (FREE-not trial version) has a pretty cool look and feel ...allowed me to access local library..even my playlists.... and you can even add to your play lists...
Sooo.. until Fitbit "allows" the native Apple music player.... this will function...

Not sure what you're talking about. The native Music player on my iPhone 6S works with the Blaze just fine, no fee required. I wonder if your library is messed up due to the streaming Apple music service. Both the native music player and amazon work fine on my iPhone and Blaze, no problems whatsover.
Sooooo...yes, Fitbit does allow the nathive Apple music player

What version of the iOS are you running? Because I do not have Apple's music service
