Blaze Notification problem NOT solved

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.
There is another thread on this, but it indicates the matter is solved. It isn't. My blaze notifications worked perfectly through March, April and most of May. Then they suddenly just stopped working. This may have been a result of the app update around that time. I have a Samsung Galaxy S6, and yes I'm aware that it needs to be within Bluetooth range of the phone to work.

I did everything suggested to fix this issue, turning notifications off and on, turning Bluetooth off and on, and reconnecting / rescanning. I deleted the app and re-downloaded it. I turned the phone off and on. Sometimes, after going through all this, it will work a few times before quitting again. Other times it does not work at all.

This worked perfectly before. At that time, only one Blaze connection showed under Bluetooth. Since the program update, I have two connections show up, "Blaze" and "Blaze Classic" - and the notifications don't work most of the time. Whatever changes you made, please review them. This function is a major selling point of the watch and it needs to work like it used to without a person having to spend a half an hour resetting everything every time they want to ten minutes worth of working features.

Welcome to the Forums @MietteTH. Thanks for troubleshooting this issue by yourself. I recommend checking the My tracker isn't receiving notifications post and follow @MarreFitbit's instructions.

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Woman Wink

Sorry, I did all those things - did not correct.  What worked best was uninstalling the app completely from my phone, reinstalling it, and then reconnecting it by bluetooth and resetting the notification settings, and resynching it with the watch.  Previously I updated the app and did the other things and that did not work.  I am waiting to see if this is a permanent or temporary fix.

i have the same exact phone and had the same exact problem this week.  I finally fixed it by copying the earlier instructions from April.  Go into Devices on your phone, turn on the notifications and allow the Blaze to get information and only use MESSAGE NOT MESSAGE+.  once i reset this it started working again.

for some reason Message + does not work with this phone.  I know it is very frustrating, I will look for the exact thread and post number for you.

I have an iPhone 6S Plus and am having the same issues as you are. I have been in contact with Fitbit support for over a month now and have followed all of their repetitive requests to connect bluetooth and insure that my notifications are turned on. They finally stopped responding to me and I finally gave up and exchanged my watch for a new one. With this new watch I am not even receiving notifications at all. My phone is sitting right next to me too. I have been with fitbit for a long time now and this is my 3rd watch that I have upgraded with them. I am seriously considering switching to the iWatch, since this issue is not being fixed. The notifications are the reason I bought the Blaze and because I have like Fitbit thus far. I am at a loss for what else I can do and at a loss of over $200 for a watch that does not work.

I hope it works out for you.

Im exploring purchasing a Blaze and exploring the FitBit community to see how it's going so far
