Blaze can provide Call, Text, and Calendar notifications so that you can stay connected!
This post will provide instructions on how to setup your alerts so that you can see who's texting you, the content of the messages, who's calling, and what your calendar has on deck for you. For a detailed overview of alerts for Blaze, please see this help page.
Setup Steps:
Using Alerts:
You can easily see all of your alerts by swiping up from the home screen. Here, you'll see previous incoming calls, text messages for the day, and calendar alerts as well. You may delete these alerts either individually or all at once.

When I happen to get two text messages at the same time from two different people, I get a notification on screen that I have 2 (or more) messages and in the bubble it shows the names or numbers of who sent a text, but there's no way to expand that notification and I can't see the messages. Individually I have no issues, I love this feature. Does anyone know how to expand it? I've tried swiping left it did nothing. I tried double tapping, nothing. Holding down, nothing. Any ideas?

My notifications now work correctly. I am not sure exactly what I did to fix the one issue since I had some other related issues. I did make changes to the notifications in the app and on my IPhone. Also, I see something else that happened on my phone that was strange. Apparently I had all calls routing to voice mail except my favorites list. The only person on my favorites list was my wife so she was happy.
I have no idea how my phone got changed. I did not even know about those settings. Live and learn!

Yes it vibrates. I don't see the display until I raise my arm.

Notifications worked on my Blaze (paired with Samsung Galaxy S5) right out of the box, but then stopped working. I disabled and re-enabled, didn't work. Deleted FB app and re-installed, they worked for a few hours and now I'm back to the same problem again; constant alerts from the FB app to enable notifications. When I tap to change the settings, it goes to the screen and the box is already checked next to Fitbit Notification Service. I use the default messages app and I have preview turned on, all settings as they should be and no notifications.
Why is this so cumbersome for so many users, yet no firmware update?
Also, why do notifications get coupled together so I just see the sender's name and '2 messages' but it doesn't display the actual message?
Or if 2 people text me within a minute or two of each other, it lists the 2 names and says '2 messages' but again, doesn't show the messages.
A firmware update is DESPERATELY needed as the main reason many people bought the blaze, notifications, doesn't work and it's clearly widespread and occurring both with Android and iOS devices.
HELP!

Like many others posting, I am having problems getting texts on my Blaze. I, too, am ready to give up and return it if I can't get it working properly. It is too much money for something that won;t work for the purposes intended. Fitness is a small part of it. They should really have a disclaimer of what it will and won' tdo for each phone. I have a Samsung Note 3. I am using the default messenger which is Message+. Other default choices were Messages and Hangouts. Messages did not flow anything at all through to the Blaze, not even the bubbles that I am getting at least telling me that I have a text message. Message is not customizable and I found no setting button anywhere within the app. I am happy with Message+. If there is a third party message app out there that accepts both SMS and MMS and is customizable, I am open in that. I am currently getting call notifications but no choice to accept or decline call. Funny thing is, I did get one text that opened and then it went right to the bubbles. Please, if someone can reach out to me, I would appreciate it. If providing instructions, don't assume - be specific.
Thanks in advance

@ScrapBandit. The ability to accept/decline calls is an IOS feature only - as for messaging, others have stated that you have to use message and not message+ to see the full text messages.
Hope that helps somewhat~

I am aware of the inability to accept/decline calls as I stated in my post. I am fine with that.
My Note 3 came with 3 default message apps. Message has no settings anywhere in the app. It did not flow messages to my Fitbit Blaze. I can't turn notification previews on within the app if they are not there.
Thank you for answering.
Anyone else? This is my third Fitbit and the first to be difficult.

It doesn't look like that particular device is compatibile with our app, or at least optimized for it.
The complete list of compatible devices can be found here.

I have an iPhone 6s and am curious if there's any way to receive text notifications on the Blaze without the watch actually vibrating? Like a silent only mode on your phone where it pops up on the screen, but doesn't vibrate or make a sound. I don't want to have to go into my app every night to turn off notifications so that my texts don't vibrate middle of the night.

I was wondering if you'll ever support the Honor 5x. At this point, when I receive a text on the Blaze, it comes in as though it's a phone call. I do not receive the details of a text and was just inquiring as to when if at all, you'll be able to support my specific phone.
Thank you,
