Blaze - Pixel3 - Android 9.0 - Notifications Insanity

I have searched and seen this marked "solved" but none of the suggestions have worked for me.  I have restarted, uninstalled, reinstalled, blah blah over and over and it does not solve the problem.  I recently switched to Android from Apple, and did not have this problem on Apple.

The notifications.  Over and over.  I am getting notifications of an email that came in and was read 4 hours ago.  I just got a notification of a phone call coming in, long after I had taken the call and finished the call.   What is the fix?

The Pixel 3 is not in the list of supported devices.... yet.

In my various searches on this issue before posting, I saw a moderator post yesterday that it is now supported.

Did you go to your notifications on your watch on switch them off?

Yes, I have them off now.  But I would like to receive notifications, just, you know, timely and once haha!
