Hi Everyone
I was just wondering how many of you had issues with the step county on your Blaze? I purchased mine on Monday, set my stride, I have it on my non-dominant hand but have set it to dominant. I had a Charge HR and this worked really well and it only counted when I actually took steps. The Blaze however seems to count for more general movements such as getting dressed etc which definitely aren't as big a movement as my stride. Just a little bit annoyed given the cost of the device, if it isn't going to count my steps accurately then it isn't going to give an accurate calorie count and I am using this device together with MyFitnessPal to help me to lose weight. It has also said I have climbed 14 flights of stairs today, I have climbed 3! Any additional help you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Becki

A warm welcome to the Community @rehb.
If you are seeing that your step count isn't being accurate, keep in mind that your tracker will record some steps by your arm movement, if the accuracy isn't being good, I recommend restarting your Blaze, walk 100 steps and let me know how many it registered.
Now about the floors, your device may give you credit for extra floors for a variety of reasons. Occasionally your Blaze may detect pressure changes unrelated to elevation gains, such as a gust of wind, weather change, or opening a door. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors being counted. This happens if the pathway to the altimeter on the back of your tracker becomes temporarily blocked with sweat or water. After the restart, you can check if this reading improves.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the update @rehb. Now, I recommend just walking those 100 steps. Also, before walking them, you can measure your stride length.
Hope to hear from you soon.
