My Fitbit Blaze says I have done 11,385 steps, but challenge I'm on only shows 9, 5500?

Hello @SunsetRunner, did you have the phone with you and used it's connected GPS?

If not then the Blaze calculated your distance by using your stride setting.

If a user true stride does not match the stride setting in Fitbit then the distance will be calculated incorrectly.

You will need to increase the stride by 1.25.

As for the treadmill a person is not physically moving so GPS will need to be turned off, this would be done by using the treadmill mode on the Blaze.

Here again the stride needs to be setup for the users stride based on the speed of the treadmill. A note about hand rails, holding on to them may cause the tracker to not correctly count steps, not to mention the dance holding may do to the body.

Two questions for you @SunsetRunner.

Are you looking at the Blaze or the app at these 11,000 steps?

When was the last time your Blaze synced?

And a third question.

Was the challenge started in your timezone?

It's great to see you here @SunsetRunner and @Rich_Laue thanks for the input.

Below are possible reasons for this issue:
1. Your steps have fully synced to our database but you're not viewing the mobile app dashboard in Live Data Mode. (Live data mode would show the word "connected" under your tracker tile).
2. You manually logged an activity. Steps from manually logged activities do not count toward challenges; only steps recorded by your tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
3. You used MobileRun to track GPS data with your app. Only steps recorded by a tracker or MobileTrack are counted toward challenges.
4. All challenge participants are not in the same time zone.

I also recommend waiting 15 minutes after syncing your Fitbit data to see if your challenge updates.

Let me know the outcome. Man Happy

My steps seem to be tracking but not my miles.

I do a 5 mile circuit twice a day but for 2 days it's showing 4 miles each time.

I also did 2 kilometers on my tread and it only shows up as less than quarter of a mile!

Hello Rich, thank you for your help with my fitbit problem.
Yes I was fully connected, as always.
It was step for step the exact journey I make every day morning and
afternoon.
My step count is higher than normal as I have been trying to increase my
miles but they are just not registering.
Yes I had noticed that my steps don't always register if I use the hand
rails on the treadmill, so I don't use them.
Thank you very much for trying to help.
This problem has only happened over the last 2 days.
Also I am having great difficulty updating my steps. 🤔🙁
