Hi everybody! I don't usually uses blaze while I work. I put it on the table. After about four hours, the blaze turned to 60% batteries from 100%. Any power-down mode can I use in the blaze?

YES! I also purchased a new one that had a full charge for almost 6 days but after my first charge it won't hold a charge more than 4 hours. All this after my last Fitbit works just fine for 2 years then SUDDENLY, out of the blue, wouldn't hold a charge more than 3 hours! I bought my new one (only 5 months old) online from a previous owner so that warranty won't transfer. They are out of their minds if they think I'm dumping even more money into their company! 25% off? Not even close when I just wasted $100 on a new one thinking my blaze was just old or I did something wrong. I'm furious!

But it will be a cold day in you know where before fitbit admits fault.

I'm trying to figure out how this topic was solved..... Am I missing something here?

There is no way to solve the problem. Once the battery keeps draining fast its pretty much trash.

Hello,

My Blaze is 13 months old and the battery stopped holding a charge this week. I have tried battery saving solutions with no avail. I really like my Fitbit but I don’t like paying $200 for a watch that lasts just over a year, when the warranty runs out. I think that Fitbit needs to take care of this issue. This is not the first time I have had battery issues with a one year old Fitbit device. I am thinking about switching brands. Any advice? I might as well spend the big bucks on an Apple Watch if I have to keep shelling out $200 a year for a smart watch.

Bill,

You started this thread over a year ago.  What'd you end up doing?

I ended up rebooting my Blaze 3 times in a row and it seemed better. I have
had to reboot it a couple of more times and it does seem ok for now.

I ended up buying a non fitbit tracker. I found that most of the cheaper models will do the same thing or more and are water proof as well. I now consider my fitbit a $250.00 lesson.

The solutiont is to replace the battery for $5 yourself...

The fitting battery is linked multiple times in this thread. Even cheap asian batteries run for 12 month no problem.

Did you read the thread at all? 😄

Electronics degree for 4 screws and 2 cables? LoL

In the battery replacement thread is a link to a tutorial... With step by step instructions/ images ...

Anybody with a soldering iron can do it in 10 minutes tops.  My 12 year old nephew did the soldering on my tracker and he definitely does not have a degree 😉

Yes, I read the entire thread. Smiley Frustrated I had my Fitbit suddenly stop holding a charge one day. A week later I bought another blaze. It was used but only 5 months old. It was fully charged when I got it and it lasted 5 days before I decided to recharge. After first charge it started draining within hours just like my 2 year old Fitbit did only 1 week prior. I don't think it's the batteries nor do I believe it's a coincidence.

Your thoughts?

I'm no computer expert. Though, it seems that a lot of electronic devices
push software updates that, intentionally or not, overwhelm the
capabilities of the hardware. The cynical side of me says they could simply
push code to your device that tells it to not work anymore, in hopes you'll
buy a new one.

My 2 Cents: your old battery was dead ... You bought a used watch which was probably sold because the battery was dead as well... -> it will all be fine with a new battery

Sometimes "problematic" batteries seem to be good again ...

My tracker lasted 5 days ... And boom only 1 day ... Back to 4 ... Until it was down to 6 hours ... All in a period of 3 weeks ...

Battery replacement solved that. But maybe your charger is broken as well ...

But battery replacement is the logical first step as it is the least expensive 😉 (10 minutes and a $5 battery)
