Hi all.
I've had a Fitbit Blaze for nearly 2 years. Recently it's been very temperamental while charging.
This morning, for example, I was topping it up, it was at approximately 75-80% charged.
I checked it again 10-15 minutes later and it was at one red bar, pretty much empty.
This is unfortunately a regular occurrence.
I have cleaned the contacts, I have also reset it, but still have this issue.
Any ideas of how to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Simon.

I’m in for that!!! Obviously this is a defective product that Fitbit has put out and we are all paying the price for it. Good job Fitbit you lost another loyal customer!

Hey smaisey,
I have the same problem and I didn't fix it, but realised what is causing it (some times). My Blaze is 3 years old, and recently started draining in just a few hours. After checking the forum turning almost all the features off, I decided to email support because nothing was helping.
The Fitbit support told me to completely drain the blaze, then fully charge it and update it if possible, there was no update, but to update it, you need to turn the 'all day sync' on. I left it on in case an update was there, but not available yet and after few hours later the blaze was dead again.
Turning the automatic sync off and manually syncing has worked so far. Now I can wear it for about 4 days (if never charged in between) with all setting turned off.
I personally never let my blaze drain completely or charge it to 100%. I charge it on short occasions so I can keep it on most of the time. I am not sure if that was one of the issues that caused this to happen or if the battery is just coming to an end. I just think it's sucky to have a Fitbit where you basically have to turn off all features to keep it alive. 😞

I am having the same issue as several other users on this thread. In early August of this year, my Blaze suddenly stopped charging. And yes, it is out of warranty. I have tried all the troubleshooting tips recommended to other users, to no avail. It appears that all these problems started around the same time for all the users on this forum. I have also read that a firmware update was rolled out in the July timeframe of this year, and has caused widespread and similar problems for other models as well. So it appears that it is Fitbit itself that has caused all of these trackers to stop working. I think whether under warranty or not, Fitbit should take responsibility for this issue. I’m sure everyone experiencing the same issue would agree. I would like Fitbit to release a formal statement on this and let users know how they plan to deal with this issue. And I hope users keep hounding Fitbit until they respond to this.

I fixed this issue by getting a Polar Ignite watch! It’s so much better than any Fitbit out there. And about the same cost. I know I’m not the first to leave Fitbit and I definitely know that I will not be the last at the rate they are treating their customers!

I doubt it will do any good they are so stuck in there ways, and they sure dont listen to what we are saying. thats why I have taken mine off its not getting no more time in the charger, and I am looking for a new watch that will last longer than this pile of junk.
But if this is a software issue then they should sort it, or was this planned by fitbit.... But I doubt it as all of mine have done the same, both my surges and now my blaze. So they must know they have a problem with battery issues, but one thing I do know is I will never recommend fitbit to anyone....
