It may not be possible to fix this. According to this thread - https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Alta/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-Plus-and-Alta/m-p/1960775 - the S8 Plus is not fully supported by fitbit.

It's great to see you around @stefapet and @SteveH thanks for stopping by.

I would like to know if the instructions provided by our friend @SteveH worked? As mentioned, Samsung Galaxy S8+ is not a compatible phone. Keep in mind that your phone needs to be 100% compatible in order to work properly with your Blaze. However, you can try the instructions provided by @MarreFitbit in the My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app) post.

Catch you later. Woman Happy

Okay, so I've done a little research, and it seems the issue probably lies with Samsung. The GS8 has Bluetooth 5, which does not seem to be completely backward compatible. In addition, there are ZERO Bluetooth 5 devices available on the market, and they do not expect any to be available until maybe early 2018. That means that Samsung does not have any Bluetooth 5 devices on the market either. So, here we are with this really cool phone, that cannot be used to it's full potential. It will be really cool... someday!

This definitely makes me sad, while I have been excited about the Samsung S8 (I am not on the plus but have the same issues) it really is hard to get this to Sync, etc.

I know my notifications are delayed at times. If only I wanted all those notifications for my work phone I might consider using it on my work phone, but, I digress.

It is a shame that this does not work, however I really did not do research on the phone and my Fitbit, sort of figuring Bluetooth, was bluetooth, but things are not always as they seem. 😞

My S8+ from AT&T did a software update late last week, and I started getting notifications. Scared the heck out of me the first time it buzzed while I was driving! Smiley Happy

It also doesn't seem to be draining the battery as badly as it did before, although I also don't have it connected via Bluetooth, as the music control doesn't matter as much to me, or at least I haven't been in a position (a long walk) where I would need it since the update. I'm guessing the battery drain will come with that connection.

Samsung S8 is a new phone - and has an increasing community of users.

clearly the blaze i bought cannot send notifications to this and is pretty weak connecting to android in general.

so this issue of notifications needs to be fixed

what is the roadmap to get this working

or should we just look at other devices since conclusion is that fitbit has no roadmap

If you are expecting Fitbit to reply, you've come to the wrong place. Since this thread is marked as being "solved" they no longer pay any attention.

Is there a newer post out there that is not incorrectly labeled as solved? If not, one needs to be started now that the S8 is in fact on the compatible list.
