Blaze not resetting at midnight

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

For the past couple weeks, every other morning my Blaze will say (before I've even gotten out of bed) that I have walked 15,000+ steps and burned 2,400 calories (what I usually do every day). It's not remotely close to the previous day's numbers, so it's not just that it's not resetting at the end of the day. For instance, when I went to bed at 11 last night, I had logged 17,000+ steps and burned 2,700+ calories. This morning before I got out of bed, I checked my watch and it says I've walked 15,000 steps and burned 2,300 calories.

It first started when I began wearing my watch to bed. Sometimes I do have to get up at night to deal with my kids, but not 15,000 steps worth! So I started powering my watch down overnight, and that worked for a couple days, but now the problem is back.

Any ideas?

A warm welcome to the Community @DoetschAlyssa. If your tracker is not resetting at midnight, I recommend restarting your Blaze to avoid this to happen again. Now to negate all that extra information, you can manually log the activity "Driving" by doing the following from your Fitbit app:

1. Tap the "+" icon

2. Tap Track Exercise

3. Enter your information

4. Tap Log It

5. Sync

I hope this helps, let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

I guess that's a way to negate the extra steps and calories, but that's not the real problem.

I am already restarting my FitBit in the morning, and the rest of the information does reset at midnight. The steps and calories are obviously resetting because they're way lower than I ended with the day before.

I failed to mention before that the green lights on the back of the FitBit never turn off. When I first purchased it, they would turn off within a few seconds of me taking it off and setting it someplace stable, but the lights started staying on all night no matter where I put it, and that was half the reason I started turning it off at night. Maybe that has something to do with the steps? I may occasionally bump my nightstand while im asleep, but surely not enough to account for 15,000+ steps.

The first time I had the problem, restarting it did get the whole thing to I reset, but it hasn't worked since. 😞
