Blaze not syncing in cradle

Now i have another problem, i don't own a dongle so i cant use that. But i have installed the Win10 Fit-bit app and it works now and again but recently I've come across this problem. Please make sure to install Fit-bit Connect or other apps that are trying to useFitbit Station. Now i have un-installed the standard PC edition and like i have stated. I am running the Win10 app version. My phone blue tooth is off, using Sony/Z5C. Turned Wifi off too just in case and i am still getting this message. Is this because some folders are still left  behind on my PC after installing the PC version which are causing issues or something else? I have placed an order for a dongle, this might not fix it due to this constant message. Is there a fix? like regedit folder that needs to deleted etc?

Hi there @Shamuthewhaler. Good to see you in the Community! 🙂

If you deleted the Fitbit Connect Software and are using the app for Win 10 that should not prevent you from syncing your tracker if you're doing this through the built in bluetooth. Just to make sure, you could go into your control panel settings and make sure that all the files for the previous Fitbit program were successfully deleted and after that, give it another try and see if it works.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi and thank you.

My PC does not have built in blue-tooth, using the charging station. Apparently that should work as a sync but its still not working. I think once i get the dongle i will be able to set the entire thing up properly. My stride information is all wrong, trying to sync with the watch but cant due to initialisation error. I have deleted old folders and checked to see if any registry folders where left behind with CC-cleaner but i think this might be a reg edit problem. Crossing my fingers dongle fixes everything.

Not really @dingo12B. Most of the devices that are sold now have bluetooth built in so it's not really necessary to include a Dongle to sync via PC in most of the cases.

Great to see you in the Community Forums, let me know if there's anything I can help you with! 🙂

@dingo12B the Win 10 app is able to sync through the charging cord.

I have tried all the silly instructions for sync. Nothing works because bluetooth is not working well.  Blaze sends the 4 digit code to the iphone and then iphone spins forever.  It's the same with mac.  I'm sick of all the help looping me back to the same sync instructions, then the sync fails.  Why not bypass bluetooth, which is obviously failing for Blaze!

Why can't we update Blaze through usb cradle????  Where are these instructions????

A warm welcome to the Forums @ArthurS and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

If you are having issues syncing your tracker, I recommend following the instructions provided in the Having trouble syncing? post. Also, you don't have to put the tracker in the cradle in order to set the Blaze up, just verify that the tracker has enough battery and follow the setup procedure.

Catch you later. Woman Happy
