Blaze shows incorrect time after low battery

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

If I let my Blaze battery get real low then the time appears to 'freeze'.  Unless I sync after taking off the charger it keeps the old time.  Any ideas?

Huh, this is pretty strange @Socaljk. Welcome to the Community Forums! 🙂

I've never heard something like this to be honest. Have you tried by any chance to restart your tracker and then tried to sync it when the battery gets low?

If not, you can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot and hopefully correct any error when the battery gets low to make sure it will keep the correct time.

Let me know if that makes any difference.

Hi

When I resync with my phone after charging it is fine. Time gets updated.
My issue is that for some period of time until I realize that there is a
discrepancy I'm going by the wrong time. While I understand the link
between phone & Blaze I do expect that the Blaze keeps time even if the
battery runs low.

Thanks a lot for getting back @Socaljk! 🙂

I understand what you're saying. Actually, this is the expected behavior from the Fitbit Blaze. Once you turn it off or if the battery runs low and you charge it, when it comes back on, the time will pick from when it went off, so it's really necessary to sync it once it's back on for it to pick the right time from the phone and to work properly. As long as you keep it on, the time should be fine but make sure to sync it after it being off.

Any other question you may have, I'm here to help!

I am also finding the clock is inaccurate and off by about 5 minutes even after I sync and changing clock face helps but does not entirely fix the problem. I never let my battery get low as I routinely charge it daily. The last update Fitbit did has screwed everything up and Fitbit has not fixed the multiple sync errors so it is a pain to sync with the phone. I Macair will sync but never knows it has finished syncing. I have to manually close the sync app. My phone is anedroid so both platforms are screwed up.

Hi there @SunsetRunner. Good to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're also having problems with the time being off even after restarting your tracker.

I can suggest trying something else which would be setting up your tracker as a new device. For this, first, please try to restart your tracker. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

Once you've done this, you can proceed with setting up your Blaze as a new device. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Let me know if this makes a difference or not.

After two tries, I succeeded in getting through the process and it appears to have synced. So now my question is will this fix the issue with syncing via my Mac Air?

I just synced on my Mac Air and it worked correctly! Thank you FerdinandFitbit!

Oh, and the time on the clock is correct as well, at least right now.

I had problems getting the correct time - and whoever told me to check the Sync**** that's where the problem was - I "updated" my Blaze on my Apple Cell phone - and Voila - it started to Sync and the time is right!!  (actually my daughter did it in five minutes)  So the answer is = Update****

(whoever gave me the answer - thank you)   (Tasha 1612)
