When I first got it, the Blaze would do an OK job of recognizing sleep and even sometimes showed sleep stages.
Are there any ideas about what is going wrong? Is it me or the Blaze?
HR is set to ON. Sleep sensitivity is Normal.
I have not changed any settings recently.
Am I doing something wrong? Is the Blaze starting to break down.
In the past 2 weeks, it is failing to recognize when I am sleeping.
Last night I went to bed around 1 AM, woke up briefly twice during the night and got out of bed for about a minute. I woke up in the morning at 8:43 AM and got out of bed.
The Blaze recorded that I slept only 1 hour: 7:40 - 8:43.
This is typical of the readings for the last week. I am sleeping in bed for about 7 hours. The FitBit recognizes that I slept for about 1 hour.
It used to be much better.

Same problem as yesterday.
I was asleep from about 1:30 AM to 8:40 AM.
Fitbit reported that I slept from abt 6:15 AM to 8:40.
I will call Fitbit support and see if they can help.

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

I have done restarts. But never tried it 3 times.
I will try that and report back.

You say you got up several times before 7, could it be that between 1 and seven there wasn't a period where you where asleep long enough for fitbit to derect sleep?

I've had this happen to me before and when I checked the app it told me that the watch may have been loose. It could also be the way you slept causing the watch to not make a good contact and not read properly. I just made sure my watch was a little more snug.

Restarting multiple times helped a lot.
I am going to wait until tomorrow and if it is still OK, mark the "restart" suggestion as the solution.
Here is what happened.
This morning it showed that I slept from 5:32 to 10:30 AM. It even shows sleep stages.
This is much more accurate. Actually, I went to bed at 1:30 AM and got out of bed at 9:50 AM.
Yes, I woke briefly a few times between 1:30 and 5:30. It still should have picked those up as mostly asleep.
I will update the thread again tomorrow and see if it still mostly works.

Restarting worked better day one than on day two.
Last night it said I was asleep 2.5 hours. No sleep stages.
I will try again tonight and report back.
