Purely from the design perspective what do you recommend. Apple watch or Blaze?

The two are completely different in design and not comparable the AW was designed to run a real OS, the Blaze is not. Why do i need another device running sn operaring system on my arm? I think this is a big design failure, sincr it still needs to have a phone nearby, and not truly an independant device  it really should be able to send/receive text, voice, and email independent of the  phone.
