Blaze will not hold charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Blaze will only hold a charge for 3-4 hours. This was not a gradual decrease but an instant change. I have change nothing in my setting and do not charge overnight. This seems to be a common issue with not only the Blaze but other fitbits as well. As this is a very expensive device it should lastblonger than a year. Please advise as to how you can rectify this issue. Thank you.

Also See this thread for charging best practices. If you are not charging it correctly you could be damaging the battery

I think the question is in regards to the device running out of juice after a few hours, not that it wasn’t charging properly. This exact same thing is happening to me now, two weeks ago it would go 4-5 days without needing a charge, and suddenly I can’t go 4-5 hours. No settings were changed prior to the problem, and most of the items suggested in your troubleshooting area were already accounted for (i.e. keep notifications off). This is less than a year old. Do I need to send it in to someone? Like the OP mentioned I’m suddenly hearing a lot of stories like this.

Yes as the above reply stated the issue is not with it not charging but that after 2 hours of charging (as suggested in the links you sent me) the Blaze is fully charge led but is dead within 3-4 hours. I cleaned the contacts, although it was not having an issue charging. I have reset the Blaze and then fully charged it. It has now been 3 hours and is almost dead. I read the correct way to charge the Blaze and have done none of the things and Incan recall that were mentioned that would damage the battery. As this is a common problem as can been seen by reading the fitbit forum please let me know what fox has been come up with to fix the issue for good, not just a temporary fix as hasn’t been talked about in the same forums. I don’t want to be a few weeks or months down the road with the same problem.
