Hi,

I was wondering how much selecting Different workout or using auto workout affect the calorie count?
I used the blaze this weekend for different kind of workouts, TRX and cross fit. Also wondering, which setting would be best for this since there are a limited number of options? Is it best to just select "workout"? Or just let the watch detect it?

Thanks

@AdamMSC @Mxm Great questions!

There's very little algorithmic differences in the different exercise modes; Multi-Sport helps your organize your different workouts. Based on the exercise you select, you may also choose to use Connected GPS or not.

If you're looking to track a specific workout that isn't one of the activities in your device settings, I'd recommend using the "workout option" before using SmartTrack (automatic exercise recognition) for a few reasons: you have complete control over start/stop times (eliminating any of the guessing work), you'll be able to see HR for the isolated window of time, and you'll see a more comprehensive workout summary!

If I'm not doing a run, walk or cycle I stick it on Workout. My last row (workout) the Blaze was within a couple of calories of my Concept 2, so think that worked ok.
