Cannot set up my fitbit Blaze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Just pulled my fitbit blaze out of its box this morning and tried to set it up. The app told me it was too low on battery so I would need to charge it before I could do the update. So I plugged it in. 6 hours later I tried again and the app told me it was still too low to do the update. I've looked up other with similar posts and haven't seen any solutions yet. I held two buttons to reset it and retried to sync/update it with the app. Nothing is working... please help!

@nhamilton, you didn't mention if the Blaze vibrated when you plugged it in?

Are you using your phones charger?

The fitbit does not vibrate when I plug it in.

And no I do not have my phone plugged in. The battery is full on my phone

Make sure the contacts line up and you might want to clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol.

If this stil doesnt work make sure the charger case is snapped close, and you migt want to press down slightly. If it then does charge, place something small like a pill bottle on it.

Im not concearned about the phone, i suggest plugging the Blaze into that little box on the wall that you plug the phone in to charge.

It's weird because I have it trying to charge in my computer now. When I plug it in - it does not vibrate. However, my computer recognizes it as being plugged in and looked for software to support it. So does that mean that the plug is working?

However, I did try pushing on it and moving it around to see if lining it up better would make it vibrate and that did not work

Win 10 and MAC machines will detect the Blaze and install the drivers.

Downloas the fitbit app and try running it. You could find that the setup process works.

We can then look at the charge problem with more feedback or even have Fitbit remotely  look at what is happening

I've tried doing the set up through the app countless times between yesterday and today. The app will not let me bypass the "charging" problem. Every time I try to do the app it says the fitbit's battery is too low.

I've tried the app on my phone AND on my computer... I'm feeling a bit helpless at this point.
