Clock Faces Information Post

Hey everyone! Screenshot 2016-03-04 10.25.25.png

Now that Blaze is finding its way into the hand of our users, we thought we'd provide a bit more information regarding clock faces, and how you can interact with your Blaze in different ways! Here's the run down of the four default clock faces:

Original:

The time is shown in analog format using an hour-hand and minute-hand. Those dots that go around the circumference of the watch area indicate minutes of the hour. The step icon at the top of the screen is the primary statistic, which is displayed in the progress dial as well (the circle surrounding the clock). The icon at the bottom of the clock is your stat cycle, where you can tap the display to cycle through all of your primary stats for the day as well.

Flare:

Flare consists of 3 main elements: time, date, and activity level. The Flare on the outside will follow the current minutes to the hour while also displaying the activity for the hour. The more you move in the hour, the further out the Flare will extent. Click here for more details.

Zone

This clock shows the time over a color-changing background that corresponds to your heart rate. The HR Stat, HR zone and date can be toggled with this clock face, meaning you can cycle through and see what you want to see.

Pop

With Pop, your clock-face will consist of 4 main elements: time, steps, HR, and calories. While your heart rate icon on this screen does not indicate HR zone (the HR circle is always full), both the steps and calories statistic will update to be reflective of your step/calorie burn goal for the day!

We hope this helps. As always, questions and feedback are welcome and appreciated. If you'd like to see new clock faces (or changes to existing ones), please add your vote/comments to this Feature Request with specific changes you'd like to see.

Through updates they can and are working on fine-tuning sleep, steps, brightness levels, all the data tracking - this is what matters to me for a tracker.

I'm fine with the clock faces provided; buy an android wear device if you want additional clocks, weather inter alia.

I just did this and broke my fitbit. Who would have thought something so simple could break it. After changing the option from 'original' to 'flare' and resyncing, my clock vanished! It just wouldn't swipe back from the today page. I tried changing it back and it's still gone. They are having to send a replacement.

please clarify the original to pulse action?  I have never heard of this, i looked on my blaze settings and don't see it.  (I want to understand what i should NOT do).  Thanks, glad you are getting a replacement.

Have you tried restarting the tracker?
Just press the left button and he bottom right button for 10 sec. It should restart and restore things to normal... 🙂

Sorry I used the wrong name. I tried changing it from the 'original' clock face, to 'Flare' (not pulse). I went throught all the reset stuff and shutdown and restart with the customer service. Very helpful but didn't resolve the issue. I'm wondering if it's a conflict with the latest update, surely a firmware reset would sort it out?

I had a similar issue, I had to restart my Fitbit and restart my iPhone and re sync them to each other again and it was fixed. Sorry to hear that with the blaze. Atleast you get a replacemnt one 😀

Just tried resetting the phone too, no joy. It's weird the clock screen just doesn't seem to exist any more. When I press the left button on any of the other pages it goes back to the 'today' screen.

oh I now understand what you are saying.Smiley Happy...no it sounds like more than re-start problem, but the fb customer service is great at replacing the tracker if they cant fix it either (they sent me 2 replacement ONEs in the space of 10 months and were really prompt about it).

I change my clock faces all the time,  from one to another (i mostly use original and the zone, i dislike the flare, it's too teeny to read and the pop annoys me everytime i see the chopped design of the numbers), sometimes i change it 2-3 times a day.

i hope that your new one works perfectly and thanks for sharing the issue.

I had the same thing happen with mine yesterday. The clock disappeared. I changed the clock face in the app and re-sync'd it and the watch face came back!

The Fitbit Blaze was my first purchase in the fitness trackers/smart-watches category and at the beginning I was very pleased with it. But with time I have grown disappointed with Fitbit as they seem to resist making some simple tweaks that would make the user's experience significantly better. Clock faces is one of those areas. I cannot find a face that I like and find as informative as I hope, and if Fitbit can't design one then they should open the market for others to design it and more. A simple solution that Fitbit just ignores without a proper explanation or guidance on what's on their mind or the nature of their limitation. I am certain my next device will not be a Fitbit.

I'm thinking of just returning mine!  It is so frustrating!!  We started in October and they sent me four new Charge HRs b/c none of them would work with my phone though it's listed as one that it will work with...so, they said they couldn't upgrade.  So, we returned the first one and upgraded to a Blaze which has been worse!  It won't sync & it seems to have fewer choices than the Charge HR!  As well, it drains the battery on my phone if I turn bluetooth on....so frustrating!  I think I'm going to return it and get the Moto360 or something else!!

How about a clock face for the Blaze that is a clock face & easy to tell time from, that scrolls through the key indicators full screen like the 'pop' clock face?

Can you update so that the clock face does not come on when you are sleeping. I've turned over a few times and it brightens up the room!

@Purpl3rturtle you might want to vote for the Night mode option, it is in the feature request board that is where the developers monitor.

Is there any way we can get an update from the developers to see if they are even working on new Clock Faces and when we should expect them to be available?

I put this together to help the Fitbit team to get an idea as to what people or my self would want in a health watch. This is just an idea but it would be great if we can get it done... I have faith in the Fitbit team!!!! 🙂FitBit Blaze Idea

maybe if we get a lot of votes we can get the team to get this rolled out! 🙂

This is perfect!
