Clock Faces Information Post

Hey everyone! Screenshot 2016-03-04 10.25.25.png

Now that Blaze is finding its way into the hand of our users, we thought we'd provide a bit more information regarding clock faces, and how you can interact with your Blaze in different ways! Here's the run down of the four default clock faces:

Original:

The time is shown in analog format using an hour-hand and minute-hand. Those dots that go around the circumference of the watch area indicate minutes of the hour. The step icon at the top of the screen is the primary statistic, which is displayed in the progress dial as well (the circle surrounding the clock). The icon at the bottom of the clock is your stat cycle, where you can tap the display to cycle through all of your primary stats for the day as well.

Flare:

Flare consists of 3 main elements: time, date, and activity level. The Flare on the outside will follow the current minutes to the hour while also displaying the activity for the hour. The more you move in the hour, the further out the Flare will extent. Click here for more details.

Zone

This clock shows the time over a color-changing background that corresponds to your heart rate. The HR Stat, HR zone and date can be toggled with this clock face, meaning you can cycle through and see what you want to see.

Pop

With Pop, your clock-face will consist of 4 main elements: time, steps, HR, and calories. While your heart rate icon on this screen does not indicate HR zone (the HR circle is always full), both the steps and calories statistic will update to be reflective of your step/calorie burn goal for the day!

We hope this helps. As always, questions and feedback are welcome and appreciated. If you'd like to see new clock faces (or changes to existing ones), please add your vote/comments to this Feature Request with specific changes you'd like to see.

@jaxim the only clock face that is unable to show steps is the Pop. On the other faces tap the Blaze until the steps show.

I put this together to help the Fitbit team to get an idea as to what people or my self would want in a health watch. This is just an idea but it would be great if we can get it done... I have faith in the Fitbit team!!!! 🙂FitBit Blaze Idea

maybe if we get a lot of votes we can get the team to get this rolled out! 🙂

I like this one. The only thing I'd add or make available is the ability to choose what stats are shown along the bottom. For me steps, miles and floors would be perfect.

Thanks @Rich_Laue!

I had noticed that but I prefer digital clocks. Hopefully Fitbit creates more clock faces because based on the forum, it seems like there is a demand here.

The zone clock face doesnt show steps. Just heart rate. Taping the screen toggles between heart rate and the date.

The Flare clock face doesnt show any stats, just the time and date.

If they just fix the flare to show the time instantly when I raise my wrist instead of fading in I will be happy. I appreciate the desire to fade in for effect. Maybe show the time instantly and fade in the flare.

I'm  gassing in has nothing to do with what face is bieng used. The Fade is controlled by the Quick View in response to lifting the arm

I love that wheather icon idea. This would be a deifnite game changer for the Blaze. This is what I expect to see on a $280 product.

Make it happen FitBit team, we believe in you!

Keep it moving, one step at a time.

@MikeS1971 you might want to pay this under the More faces wanted post on the feature siggestions board.  That is where the Fotbit developers look,  this is where the Fitbit users help Fitbit users.

Is there a clock face with date and am/pm? I asked for a Timex and the small Fitbit. I'm not complaining, I just want a clear concise face for old people like me lol 😉

Mike, I didn't see your watchface on the features forum, so I put it there, hoping it would be seen and maybe implemented.  I hope you don't mind I did that.  I just really like your watch face.  Here is a link to where I put it:  https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/More-Watch-Faces-For-Blaze/idc-p/1356990#M61968

@Texas_Pearl I didnt come up with that watch face. @Fitbhit did.

It'd be great if the Zone face had step count alongside the HR.

Or alternatively if there was a face LIKE the Zone one that has a digital clock with both HR and step count.

LOVE the clockface that Fitbhit put together.

That would be perfect. Even borrowing from that design would be cool.

@Rich_Laue although I appreciate that the developers look at the feature suggestions board, the "More Watch Faces For Blaze" post status has been in the "Reviewed by Moderator" status since February 27, 2016, yet people have constantly voted for and posted on that suggestion. It is in the TOP 10 of ALL requested features.

In 2.5 months, not a single developer has taken the "More Watch Faces for Blaze" request under consideration, hence still being in "Reviewed by Moderator" status.

The only reason people post on the "Product Help" board in this chain is because after following your suggestion to post on the suggestions board and waiting over two months for anything to be done (let alone providing the watch faces that were advertised in the commercial for the product), they still see "Reviewed by Moderator" status and don't trust that their requests have actually been considered.

Either have developers start considering whether new clock faces are possible (how could they not be; you already made four) or stop referring people to a black hole where nothing gets done.

I hated to return my Blaze, but it was becomeing obvious to me that they were not going to be able to fulfill their promises, again.  I'll wait until they fix all the problems and if there isn't another company that has come out with something better in the meantime, I may buy the 2nd version.  I'm learning never to buy something with promise of more updates to come later.  We waited for a year for the Force to have notifications and it never did before it was recalled.  We asked and asked for the formula of the metal in the Force that was causing burns on people's skin and they never would tell us.  When we returned our Forces, they gave us a 15% discount to use on the new model of Fitbit, but they didn't come out with the Blaze until the discount had expired.

I just don't believe that they are planning to address the customer wish list.  They are just leading you on.
