Clock Faces Information Post

Hey everyone! Screenshot 2016-03-04 10.25.25.png

Now that Blaze is finding its way into the hand of our users, we thought we'd provide a bit more information regarding clock faces, and how you can interact with your Blaze in different ways! Here's the run down of the four default clock faces:

Original:

The time is shown in analog format using an hour-hand and minute-hand. Those dots that go around the circumference of the watch area indicate minutes of the hour. The step icon at the top of the screen is the primary statistic, which is displayed in the progress dial as well (the circle surrounding the clock). The icon at the bottom of the clock is your stat cycle, where you can tap the display to cycle through all of your primary stats for the day as well.

Flare:

Flare consists of 3 main elements: time, date, and activity level. The Flare on the outside will follow the current minutes to the hour while also displaying the activity for the hour. The more you move in the hour, the further out the Flare will extent. Click here for more details.

Zone

This clock shows the time over a color-changing background that corresponds to your heart rate. The HR Stat, HR zone and date can be toggled with this clock face, meaning you can cycle through and see what you want to see.

Pop

With Pop, your clock-face will consist of 4 main elements: time, steps, HR, and calories. While your heart rate icon on this screen does not indicate HR zone (the HR circle is always full), both the steps and calories statistic will update to be reflective of your step/calorie burn goal for the day!

We hope this helps. As always, questions and feedback are welcome and appreciated. If you'd like to see new clock faces (or changes to existing ones), please add your vote/comments to this Feature Request with specific changes you'd like to see.

We need new clock faces and we need them now. Get it done developers or get bad word-of-mouth. You do realize we have this thing called Facebook now where we can tell our friends not to buy your product right? So either be responsive to our demands or else.

Wow- a lot of these posts sound like there is an inflated sense of entitlement. The Blaze works and does what it is advertised to do. More clock faces would be great, and I would like that too. FitBit has great customer support and overall they make great products.
If people have time to buy something and then complain nonstop about on forums, I would think those same people would take the time to research the product before purchasing.

I agree.  The entitlement and threats are uncalled for.  I'm just here to give feed back and to let fitbit know what I think would be an improvement.  I would like to have a few form clock faces implemented.  It would be nice if someone from fitbit would let us know if they are listening, and what are the chances of haveing a new clock face developed and added to the software.

Clock faces? Were they advertised? What do you expect from Fitbit? 100 clock faces to make you happy? I'm fine with the ones provided; additions wouldn't enhance my experience. All those who moan about their $200 purchase, why didn't you buy an android wear device instead of a tracker? Then you could endlessly toy with clock faces.

The Blaze is a fantastic device - just needs a little fine-tuning through updates.

It would be nice if we had the ones that were advertised. There's one missing.

The Blaze is far from a fantastic device. And it doesn't work as advertised. More clock faces could be nice for some I guess. But in my opinion, the Blaze needs some serious work before adding clock faces or other features.

Speaking for myself, I could care less about new faces. I bought a fitness tracker, not a watch to tell time. And sadly, the only thing it can do accurately is tell time.

Where's the other faces that were shown at CES? The pop face doesn't have the date, the original is decent but for someone like myself who isnt used to an analog watch, it gets harder to tell the time when the hour and minute ticks are covered by the progress bar. Could at least make the progress bar just outside the circle so I can still tell time. The flare one is very plain if you haven't done much, haven't even tried the bright orange one and won't.

Watch faces are something so easy to implement and so many are asking for more, we should at least get the ones that were shown before launch.

I would really like to see a clock with a working 3rd hand. I take people's vitals and would love to have that third hand to measure pulse rates.

Needs more than just 4 clock faces!!!

Well fitbit pretty much walked the fine line of fraud. Personally I liked
fitbit, and but they are like blackberry who didn't listen to their clients
and didn't change fast enough. So where is BlackBerry now?! Exactly! I
think it is time to buy a moto 360 or apple watch. Why buy a want to be
watch when you can buy the real thing for the same price.

The main reason I purchased the fitbit blaze instead of the apple watch was the battery stayed charged longer.  I have friends that have the apple watch and they have to charge it every day.  The Blaze I charge about every 6 days and it charges very fast, even though a hassel to use the charger.  Also The Blaze takes your pulse continuesly, whereas the apple watch does not check it all the time.  I didn't really care to have all the apps on my watch when I already have them on my phone and my ipad.  I did struggle some with the decision however.

Actually, the Blaze doesn't continuesly check your hear rate.

The blaze does show the heart rate consistently. The Zone face shows it when you cycle through the date and HR. The LED's are always flashing when you wear it. That is its way of gathering your HR info.

There was nothing to research on clock faces just what was shown at CES & their web page

I use the Zone display. I really like it and wouldn't ask for more. I see the date and my heart rate, interchangeably with a tap of the screen. I see the time and the heart rate zone that I am in based on the color of the screen. It is everything I could ask for in a watch face and works well for me.

I understand that some people need a seconds hand. Adding the option to have a seconds hand could be very useful. Is it necessary? Not really.

I bought my blaze with the assumption that the original watch face was the only watch face, so the fact that they have 4 is more than I assumed so I'm happy about that.

Now, I see many people started threatening fitbit because of not having a lot of customization on the watch faces. Wow. Really? How is that gonna go? "Hey friends, don't buy a fitbit because they only have 4 options for a watch face and not 20." Seriously everyone, that is not gonna accomplish anything. Instead, vote on the feature requests and when fitbit decides that it is time to put development time into adding clock faces for the blaze they will do that. Until then we should be ok with the 4 that we have as options. Posting threats on the forums will not help your case at all! In fact it will even deter fitbit from providing more watch faces.

I don't work for fitbit. I have my own fitbit blaze.
