WHY does the app constantly ask for a wireless dongle when there isn't one? I can't go any further than that screen because it isn't finding a dongle.

Nothing on this page helps. My bluetooth works fine, shows Blaze is connrected. App won't go past the connect dongle screen and it won't sync. So far this is a big waste of money 😞

Hello @kimmers971 when you referring to app, which app are you referring to?
Windows 10 fitbit app, windows fitbit conect, or mac version of the connect?

So is it the win 10 app or the fitbit connect?
You say that something shows connected, im not sure what is showing connected?
For the most part of it is a newer, a few years old computer then the win 10 app should work with the computers built in usb. Fitbit connect will not.
I could suggest turning BT off/on on the computer, or restarting the computer.
You can also try using the charging cable.

Thank you for the replies, but I give up. This is just an expensive bracelet. The PC app does not work properly, the mobile app is spotty. I've tired uninstall/reinstall. Unpair/repair bluetooth. It's a waste of time for something that should be so easy. I'll go back to the Map My Walk app on my phone.

I see no mention of restarting the Blaze, this is the number one solution.
Have tou tried using the charging cable to sync with win 10?

@kimmers971 A warm welcome to the Community! The reason why you're seeing "You need to connect a Dongle" is because currently even if you're using Windows 10, you will need to use a Dongle. You may want to check Windows syncing troubleshooting guide.
Hope this helps.

Luckily I still had a dongle from previous fitbit braceletss. When I used it, the computer was able to connect. Not sure why if it needs the dongle, one wasn't sent.
Have horrible trouble getting it to sync with the app on Samsung Note 4 though. It sync'd the first time, but never again

I encountered this issue when I went to initially set up my Fitbit and install the app on my Laptop. I ended up working with the Online Help team and they shipped me a Doggle... But they do have a known issue with the software that they commented when I was working with them on this. Hopefully the next release will resolve that the charging Dock will be considered the same of as the doggle.

Welcome to the Fitbit Family @commanderthom! If you're trying to set up your Blaze using a computer, you will need your Dongle. In case, your box didn't have a Dongle then please contact Customer Support so they can further assist you.
Also, if you have a supported mobile device you can try setting it up from there.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

The Blaze isn't shipped with a dongle so why in the world would I need one to do any updates or connections? The Blaze was shipped with a charger, which is USB connected to computer are you telling me that it can not connect to the computer without a bluetooth dongle that didn't come with the Blaze and cannot connect to the computer with the charger that did come with it?

@JP40 if you are using the Win 10 app for the pc then yes you may use the charging cord to sync your tracker.

Thanks for the advice @Rich_Laue!
Hey there @JP40! You will need a Dongle in case you don't have any supported mobile device. If you already set up your Blaze with an iPhone or Android then any time you want to update it. You can do it from your phone or a computer if you have a Dongle or using Win 10 app.
Let me know if you don't have a mobile device so I can further assist.
