Connection issues

I have been having problems off and on with my blaze. I love it when it works but it hasen't been consistantly working since I got it in October.

1st. It is inconsistant with notifications. I go a day or two getting text, call and calander notifications then they randomly stop. I have all the settings set according to the directions and haven't changed anything. I am currently back to not getting any which annoys me since that is one of the reasons I got the blaze.

 

2. I am constantly having sync and connection issues with it connecting to my phone. Very rarely can I get it to connect to my phone for a walk to use GPS and if it does it only shows the lowest bar for connection which blows my mind because when I am out walking my phone is literally right next to my blaze. It then will deisconnects and never reconnects during my walk, run or bike ride. Yes again all settings are set up according to the directions.

 

3rd i have trouble getting it to sync to my phone. I like to sync it in the morning to save my data. Or check on my sleeping etc. Kind of hard to do that when it takes 3+ times to try and sync it to get it to work. I will even take my blaze off and place it on my phone so they can be as close as poasiable to sync. 

 

4th I thought it was supposted to automatically sense and track when you have been active after a certian amount of active time. It does not seem to be doing that. Sometimes it tracks my active minutes and steps other days it does not. Infact I wore it yesterday and tracked 0 steps!!! I was on my feet alll day yeaterday so that is 100% not possiable. 

 

Yes it has been updates to the most recent update. My Bluetooth is on and etc. It works sometimes and other times it doesn't. I also have been shutting it down when I go to bed so rebooting it also hasn't helped it.

I will be glad to help you out with them but first, please check if your phone is compatible by taking a look at our list of compatible mobile devices. Now:

 

1. About the notifications, follow @MarreFitbit's instructions in the My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app) post.

2. If you are having inconveniences with your GPS, take a look at this post and follow the steps provided there. 

3. If your tracker is not syncing as it should, follow the instructions provided in the Having trouble syncing? post.

4. Please take a look at the What should I know about SmartTrack exercise detection? article, where you will be able to find some information about how to track your exercise automatically. 

 

Also, follow the instructions provided in the How do I update my Android Fitbit app? post to see if your Fitbit app is updated.
