Data hasn't cleared overnight

Last night, as usual, I shutdown my blaze before bed (to conserve battery). This morning when I synced I find I have yesterday's data still showing on my blaze and yesterday's data showing as today's data on the dashboard (I've achieved all my goals without doing a thing!).

What I need to do is erase today's data both on the Blaze and in the app. How can I do this?

I've tried multiple shutdowns and resets to no avail.

Thanks, Chris

Update

I attempted to "negate" the existing data by logging today's erroneous data as "Driving" but all this seemed to achieve was to increase my current daily 'active minutes' to 540 minutes! This is going to seriously skew the calculation of my "Daily Avg" active minutes from here on (catastrophic).

After a little research, it's clear that the failure to reset problem is a known bug and there appears to be no solution from FitBit.

All I want now is to reset my Blaze and start afresh with a new account/profile. Anyone know how this can be achieved?

The problem with logging driving today will not work since the steps where recorded yesterday, there are no steps today to void out with driving.

When you wake up, do you sync to set the time which will be off?

By any chance, was last night the first night that the tracker was turned off before midnight?

As for removing the steps, the only way is to change the timezone so the trackers time says yesterday after 11pm and let it cross midnight.

As for turning it off, I would think that it is more if a hassles will outweigh the small be if it's and not worth it.

The heart rate turns off when not on the wrist, but even wearing it I get 4-5 days.

Thanks for the response.

You're right - logging 'driving' doesn't help in the failure to reset at midnight problem. I've since removed these activities and my 'active minutes'  are back to something approaching normal.

First thing I do in the morning is activate the Blaze and sync to set the clock.

No, I've shutdown before midnight before with no problems.

I think I agree with you - turning it off is probably not worth the hassle.

It's a pity there isn't an emergency data reset facility which could be invoked when overnight reset fails. I know it's only a minority of users who seem to have had this problem but it is a significant minority.

I have exactly the same problem as you have indicated - and I have tried various actions, also as you have indicated - also to no avail !

Fitbit - do you have an answer ??

I'm afraid I have no answer. I simply have to live with the fact that my historic data isn't entirely correct.

I've not attempted to shut down overnight since then.

I think Fit bit should issue a warning that an overnight shutdown can cause this problem.

It's great to see new faces @Laws99@Chr1sH, Welcome! And @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

I appreciate your effort is trying to fix this issue. If your information isn't resetting at midnight, I recommend restarting your Blaze. The restart process should prevent this to happen again. Also, please check that your apps and trackers are updated.

Let me know the outcome. Woman Happy
