Anyone know what to do to make the Fitbit blaze measure heartrate more accurately. When I self count (which I did several times today checking), my counting is in line with what my bike says (above you can see the Blaze says 61 while my bike shows 124). My resting heart rate while sleeping is 72; so, 61 really shouldn't be possible while in the middle of exercising.

I noticed yesterday it said my average heart rate was 69 while biking (no way this was the case). When my bike says anything over 130 and I check the heart rate isn't even showing up on the Blaze half the time- at one
point my bike said 137-143 and I self counted 35 beats in 15 seconds- so, in line with the bike, but Blaze said 107.

I've tried restarting, I switched wrists, tightened, loosened, put it on so the watch face is on the underside of wrist... Everything I can think. The watch is fully charged right now.

Today it died.  A few minutes of continuous buzzing, then the screen would not react.  Reset it repeatedly, then looked down and it was black.  Called customer support and was offered a 25% discount since the watch was well beyond the warranty period.  Just don't know if I want to do a Fitbit again.  Beyond just the curious resting heart rate math and stingy active minutes calculations, I see on the Versa thread lots of complaints of sudden watch death, cracked screens and wild inaccuracies.  However, other trackers also have their foibles and drawbacks.  Garmin is $100 more, Samsung can't do music, but is cheaper and well reviewed.  How to know where to drop a not insignificant amount of money.  Maybe I just go back to a chest strap for workouts and forget everything else. I really like the sleep feature though, it helped me resolve some long standing issues with insomnia.

Hi Marcel,

I did everything. Restarting it. Changing the heart rate settings to off or on or automatic. When I put it on auto it show to stripes, when I put it the heartrate ON it always says 70. The main reason I bought this product is to run at the right heart rates. So I was wondering how I can solve this or if you could send me a new one that works.

Hi there

I have tried these tips which have not worked. what do you advise?

I don't see how to implement this advice. Two things seem in conflict:

  1. If I move the fitbit higher up my arm, it will just slide back down to my wrist unless I tighten the band extra tight.
  2. But right after you suggest moving it up my arm you say not to tighten the band extra tight

I could be missing something here. Is there any way of keeping my fitbit from slipping back down to my wrist without making it extra tight?

Thanks.

I found this post while searching this topic... my heart rate is thumping during running & weights, and when I check it, I see 77- below zone.
It is rarely if ever accurate which is one reason I chose this Fitbit model in the first place.

very disappointing.

Hi yes it is and I have changed to an Apple6 and find it spot on. My wife uses my Blaze as a stepometer only.
