Fitbit Blaze, will only work on charge

Just upgraded my Fitbit to the blaze. It’s synced and charged. However will only work while on charge. Will not allow me to reset and despite the battery saying full once off charge the screen is black and it doesn’t have the green lights at the back of the tracker. Feeling quite disappointed.
