A warm welcome to the Community @magblo1968. Our team is testing the compatibility of several phones, your patience will be much appreciated. Keep in mind that you can sync your tracker with your computer in the meantime or with a Compatible Mobile Device

Keep the stepping up! Woman Happy

I have the same problem. I find it really incorrect, that you do not mention it on the packaging. I need the notifications, I bought the blaze because of that. What should I do? Buy a new smartphone?

Umbelivable....

I am also having the same issue, incredibly disappointed, I want to be able to use all the functions on my blaze and I can't. Can we have an indication of when the phone will be fully compatable?

Hello @MaryLutz and @vrf welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂 The Huawei Honor 7 is not on the list of compatible devices, this means it's not fully tested but it might work. @MaryLutz if you are having issues with notifications please troubleshoot as instructed here@vrf what functions are not working with your Blaze? Are you having issues syncing, receiving notifications or using music control?

I'll be around if you have any questions! 😉

HI, I am not able to get text message notificationson my blaze.

Hello @vrf if you are having issues with the text messages please consider the following:

  • If you miss or receive delayed notifications occasionally, it may be because the tracker was syncing at the same time the notification was received.
  • If you have another Bluetooth device connected to your mobile device, it may cause interference that prevents notifications from appearing on your tracker. For more information, see The Fitbit app for Android is interfering with my other Bluetooth devices.
  • If you're receiving notifications but they seem delayed, the Bluetooth connection between your tracker and your mobile device may be unstable. You can turn on a persistent notification widget to help improve the delivery of notifications to your tracker.
  • Note that your tracker will only show texts or calendar event notifications sent through the text messaging and calendar apps you chose during setup. You can receive text messages and calendar event notifications from one text messaging app and one calendar app. For example, if you choose to receive SMS text messages from the Messenger app, you won't receive text messages sent through the Google Hangout app.
  • To improve the Bluetooth connection between your phone and tracker, turn on the Always Connected option in your tracker settings. Note that turning on this feature may cause the battery on your tracker to drain more quickly than normal.
  • If you recently updated the Fitbit app, reboot your mobile device and try setting up notifications again

If after this you are not receving notifications, try restarting your tracker and then turning notifications off and back on. If you're still not receiving notifications, set up notifications again:

  1. Disconnect ("unpair") your tracker in your mobile device's Bluetooth settings. The instructions differ by device, but in most cases:
    1. Tap Settings > Bluetooth and find your tracker in the list of paired devices.
    2. Tap Forget or Forget Device to unpair your tracker.
  2. Reboot your mobile device.
  3. In the Fitbit app, tap Allow notifications access and allow access to the Fitbit Notification Service.
  4. Turn on call, text, or calendar notifications.

Let me know how it goes! 🙂

As a brand new user to fibit I have been struggling ALL morning trying to connect my Honor 7 to my Blaze only to just find this thread. The Honor 7 is by no way new so why is there no update on basic functionality that I bought the fitbit for?

Is Andrioid not viewed as a viable option for your teams time??

Any time lines on a release?? Very very frustrating and wonder now if this purchase was wise.

Hi there guys! Good to see you in the Fitbit Community! 🙂

It seems that some users have been able to get their Honor 7 phones to work but since it's not in the list of compatible devices, it's not warranteed for everyone to work. Please keep an eye on the list for whenever this device is officially added so you know you should have no problem at all using it.

Anything else, let me know!

Well this is a real buzzkill... I just bought a Blaze, naively thinking android support would warrant compitability with a popular android device which has been on the market for such a long time. Apparently the confidence in getting support in 2015 was unfounded, but I would really hope that Fitbit would knock Honor 7 (and 😎 prio up a notch... My supposed smartwatch does not feel so smart now, which makes me sad.

Now you can add me to the list of disappointed users, too. From the correspondence on this issue I can see that this goes on for almost one year. I will shortly change to Honor 8 unfortunately without having checked its compability with fitbit, because I somehow was sure that it would work. But what a pity, it doesn't. Hopefully, it will not take another year before those 2 devices can be added to the list.

Thanks for the information @GintsC. If your tracker is not receiving notifications, I recommend following @MarreFitbit's instructions in the My tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android Fitbit app) post.

I hope this helps. Woman Happy

So excited to get the blaze for my birthday but shocked that it will not receive text or call notifications from my Honor 7. Can you please hurry up and add to the list? I feel cheated as I ditched my Pebble for this and now. I am considering going back. Thanks.

Same.

My honour 7 works with charge and Alta, (calls only, not texts) so don't get why my son's honor 7 doesn't work on the blaze, it makes no sense.

Hi there @Jac1970 @Gussi. Great to see you in the Community Forums!

Currently, the Huawei Honor 7 is not listed as a supported device officially so this means that it could work in some cases but it's not guaranteed to work for sure.

Our team is always striving to make devices compatible with the Fitbit environment but this can take some time in many cases but thank you so much for your patience with this!
