just got the Blaze for my bithday and while i tried to set it up it said that the battery was too low. so i left it in the charging cradel for 6 hours and the app still says that the battery is too low. i have tried to restart the device and my phone, uninstall the app and try again, and use my computer. nothing has changed since.

A warm welcome to the Community @novas456. Thanks for troubleshooting this inconvenience by yourself. I recommend restarting your tracker one more time and follow the setup procedure from a computer. Also, please check that your phone is a compatible mobile device and tell me which phone you have so I can provide you the correct setup process.

Hope to hear from you soon. Woman Happy

I have a galaxy x 6, and when i tried to setup on my computer it still says that the battery is too low even while on the charger. at random times the tracker just flashes the fitbit logo and constantly connects and disconnects from my laptop. i have also tried charging it on different ports and the wall charger

That sounds weird @novas456. If you have already tried the instructions I provided, I recommend getting in touch with our support team directly for further instructions. For a faster response you can contact them via phone or chat.

Let me know the outcome. Woman Happy

Call Support and return the Blaze. You have unwittingly been signed up for a Beta Firmware release program that has gone horribly wrong. You can't update because you are not part of the current 5% of the customer base that have been randomly selected to test the newest firmware release.

Xmas 2017 and my fitbit blaze is not charging.  Tried 2 different PC's. The screen shows the fitbit logo and setup but when I put it in the charge it is not charging.  The dashboard shows the battery is empty. I did try reset by holding the left and botton right buttons but that did not work . Any other suggestions ? thanks in advance for any replies

Same issue. Screen never shows anything other than the Fitbit logo and setup URL. Have tried multiple chargers and restarted the tracker.

Tried 4 different adapters and my Mac and work ThinkPad..I had it paired then unpaired back again..Just the prompt to update and then sorry batteries too low to update. Now it's completely dead and just not charging. It's been plugged in for hours..Disappointed was looking forward to using it today 😒

Have just returned from exchanging mine and am experiencing the same problem. When I attempted to proceed through setup on the first unit I was advised the battery power was too low. Smiley Sad

Same issue here.  Does not appear to complete the update even though the MS Surface says it has.  Tried to turn off but can't because screen on watch is locked on "setup logo".

Same here! Me and my partner had one each Xmas day and neither of them will work! Im currently trying to get hold of support. Absolutely shocking - was looking forward to getting it all set up on Xmas day! Has Anyone reported this issue and is there a solution apart from returning the item?

I received a new FitBit Blaze for Christmas. The battery will not charge, thus setup will  not complete. Looks to be a very common problem with this product. FitBit folks, you should be providing a fix to solve this issue otherwise you are going to have all these units sent back to you!

It actually is not a common problem @HalRB

Connect the tracker to a phone charger, not the computer. You should feel a vibration when connecting the charger..

There will not be any other signs of it charging.

@Natevz11 I'm not sure what the problem is that your having, could you post some details?

@ghartzler1 it doesn't sound like you are ha ring problems charging, this is what this thread is about. If the app says the update was successful but the tracker still has the setup message. Let's do a setup device, replacing the tracker ass new device to itself.

@Hep69have you let the tracker charge foraboutan hour, connected to your phones charger?

@Jmullen plugged into what, some computers laptops, iPad don't really provide enough current to charge it. Plug it into your iPads charger, if it is really low it might take a few minutes to power up.

@Darmichar the only way to get beta software is to sign up for it. Fitbit does not randomly pick users to receive beta software.

Then once you sign up you most likely will be approved to use the beta Fitbit app. As for beta firmware on the tracker, this is a lot harder to get approval for.
