New Fitbit blaze don't receive notifications from paired phone (iphone6) unless phone is in my pocket or next to me. My husband has a charge 2 and will receive notifications even if paired phone (iphone6s) is in another room.

There are several factors that can effect your Fitbit's range from receiving a signal via bluetooth. Inside walls, types of materials around (in walls) and your phones bluetooth signal.
Sometimes I can receive notifications when I am upstairs, and phone is downstairs, other times I cannot get them from across a room. Just depends.....

The Bluetooth specs say a maximum of 30 feet is the limit. I would think it should respond like your husbands does.
