I've had my fitbit for about a year now and it's been an amazing product. However, in the last few days, it's self-reset multiple times and now only one of the laser lights is on. Usually both are on and flickering, but now there is only one and it is super bright (not flickering). The heart rate monitor claims to be reading my pulse, but the light is extremely bright (too bright to look at). It heats up within a few minutes of turning it on. Troubleshooting help?

Give this a few tries as it doesn't always work.
If that doesn't so the trick then I would suspect it's defective. You say you have had it about a year. Can you find out exactly when? The warranty runs for 2 years in Europe but only 1 year elsewhere. If you are still covered then you could contact customer support to discuss a replacement:
