Just saw that the new Fitbit Alta has a "remind to move" feature.  What are the chances of this being added to the Blaze?  I feel like it would be an awesome addition!

Let's keep it friendly guys...I'd rather not discourage discussion by "policing" this thread. I'm sure we can continue the conversation without attacking or offending anyone.

So to answer the question "any update on this?", I don't have any new information at this time. Disappointing, I know Smiley Frustrated. I'm in the same boat as everyone else, we just have to continue waiting.

When I have an update or new information regarding new stuff for Blaze, you'll definitely see it somewhere on the Blaze forum. Smiley Wink

Will this feature be added to charge HR?

Welcome @aakash. The post directly before you is from the moderator who has been keeping us updated. Unfortunately no new news on when it will be as Fitbit is concentrating on fixing issues they feel are more crucial. But be sure to weigh in your hope to get it soon by voting for the feature request here  https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/Reminder-to-move-for-Blaze/idi-p/1200961.

In this forum type the developers typically work on the most voted ideas (posts with little light bulbs next to them) so look for some other things you might like.

On a seperate note I found it useful to use some of my 8 max alarms to remind me to move at the half hour of the times of days I tend to be most sendentary and the fibit app /website can help you see when that is.

Just received a Charge HR and a Blaze today.
I would like to keep the Blaze but I wonder for what reason if the idle alarm is not implemented...

This would be the most important feature for me as I think it benefits my health the most to move throughout the day...

Any news? Implementation in the Charge HR is of course also highly encouraged 😉

@Reesey No that was not at you. The mobile app doesn't work very well and it posted twice. I only posted it once and it was a direct reply. Not sure why it didn't post as a reply. Can't see how to delete it either. Thanks for chiming into the thread, much appreciated

If you ordered a Blaze that got in today, did you not know that idle alerts were not available and ordered anyway.....or had you read that an update was expected?  I am just curious since you way it is the most important feature for you......if that was the "most important" feature why not get the Alta?  It is already in that model and has been known to work correctly.

If you choose to keep the blaze be sure to vote for the reminder to move feature here -https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/Reminder-to-move-for-Blaze/idi-p/1200961.

Fitbit has currently decided to put the addition on hold while fixing some other issues but the more votes we get could help expediate the update. Welcome to fitbit communities!!

Thank you 🙂

I ll return the blaze and keep the charge hr. For me the blaze offers no advantage over the charge hr at the moment. Nevertheless, I have upvoted the topic you linked. It seems logical and needed to me that the blazr receives the inactivity feature.

@racertempo - that is a very good question! I have found that descriptions on retail websites are not clear and sometimes misleading.  I thought the Alta had continuous heart rate monitoring - which I have found very useful in my weight loss efforts, but it doesnt. I wouldnt trade my heart rate monitoring for reminders to move.  I can try to watch the clock but heart rate is harder. I never knew how low my heart rate was staying. Since I am now aiming for more mins at cardio level heart beat I am losing more weight without having to starve myself. I think that is why I just love Fitbit. Everyone can find what they need once that figure out what that is!

I agree that I would not trade the HR monitoring.  I also agree that third-party seller info in stores and on websites is often inaccurate, but if I want to buy a GPS for my car I would go to Tomtom or Garmin's website directly to find "info" on the product.  I am surprised so many people have not done that with the Fitbit Blaze.  Now the big missing piece that seems to be on many people's mind is the reminder to move, and that is not on this chart on the Fitbit website, although a little extra digging and you find it on the Alta product page.

I said it a month or so ago and will say it again, if  you are waiting on the reminder to move for the blaze, sit back and get very very comfortable.
