2 questions:
1. is it still the same charging plug like the surge? (the reason I needed to exchange it twice since the cable always fell out)
2. How easy is the main unit removed from the bezel/strap? I have visions of it popping out and flying across a gym floor during intense activity.

@Rich_Laue wanted to mention that sig is not seen if browsing Fitbit's mobile version of this forum. So I only see you are CC when on laptop/desktop, or if I tell my phones browser to load desktop site.

Sure, just wanted to point out that nobody sees CC by default on mobiles.

@EmersonFitbit wrote:"I think you may be surprised with how smooth the removal process is; a simple- but intentional- push will be required to remove the tracker to charge (every 5 days with normal usage)."
Smooth or not, this definitely is two or three steps backwards (from an already awkward Fitbit charging experience) in terms of simplicity. The goal is to wear our Fitbits as much as possible and to charge our devices as quickly and easily as possible. With my Surge, I simply slip off my watch every few days while sitting at my desk and insert the charging cable. (The cable doesn't always go in seemlessly, and I'm baffled that it takes a unique Surge cable to charge it, which I only have one of, but at least it's this simple.)
Now after "upgrading" I'll have to lug around a more bulky cable, not only remove my watch from my wrist (which was expected still), but have the additional hassles of popping out the screen, inserting it in the large bulky charger, closing the hatch of the charger, and leaving both items (screenless watch and charging dongle-thing) cluttering up my desk.
There must be a simple explanation for why Fitbit complicated a simple process like charging! Please clue us in to help satisfy these obvious questions, because this could very well keep me from going through with the Blaze upgrade (esp. considering the likely wear and tear over time. (Even IF it gets a 5 day charge for an entire year with continual use, that still requires popping out the screen over 70 times the first year. As the battery ages, the number of removals increases, and the components are only bound to wear down.) If my Fitbit gives out after warrenty, I would hope it was for something more praiseworthy than...the otherwise simple process of charging.
And finally, just compare this clunky charging process with the simplicity of the Apple Watch (an expected comparison), where it magnetically locks into place. I love Fitbit, but it has continued to overly complicate charging! Why can't my wife's Charge HR use my Surge's charging cables and vice versa?? Why is my wife's Charge HR cable too short to even use without purchasing a usb extender??! And now, why can't the Blaze use one of the previous charging cables, let alone why does it have to introduce an altogether new and novel complication in what should otherwise be a simple process of charging?
Fitbit is too good at what they do and create to not have good answers to these questions. I trust Fitbit enough to assume that. But could we please be given some of these answers, Fitbit, before you lose customers like me to the Apple Watch (which will no longer remain unappealing once they find a way to get the battery to last days-plural).

Mine pops out of the frame easy enough but getting it back in is a pain and requires more pressure that I like to apply on this. I am thinking people will have things mis-aligned and keep puching and damage the watch

It's a terrible solution. FitBit achieved two things with this silly charging solution.
1. Create an accessory market.
2. Reduce replacement rates due to deteriorating glued bands (Charge, Surge)
I find it to be a terrible way to charge a modern device!! returned mine.

This is my first time charging. My neighbor set this up. Where do I plug in what? Hopefully not to my computer. Do you have a picture illustration?

You remove the pebble from its frame, place it into the charger so the contacts line up. Close the cover. Plug the other end into the same thing that you would plug your phone into, if you where charging it. They both have the same type of end. Http://help.fitbit.com/?q=charging for Fitbits help doc.
