Hello. I saw on another post from much earlier this month that the sleep stages would be available "later" on the blaze, so I started to search the internet to see what I could find. I found an article from Fitbit saying that the sleep stages should have been available for the Alta and Blaze as early as March 6, and that it wouldn't be until April that it was released for the Charge (see the Start Sleeping Better heading at the end: https://blog.fitbit.com/sleep-stages-and-sleep-insights-announcement/). However, I still don't have the sleep stages on my Blaze, and it just went through what seemed to be a major update this past weekend. Is anyone else still having this problem too? Should the article have said that sleep stages will be available on the Alta immediately and would not be released for the Blaze and Charge until April? Just wondering if it's my device or just misinformation. Thanks!

I appreciate the response to my post however I can assure you that each
time I put on the blaze the green lights are on. I use the blaze almost
exclusively for sleep tracking. I charge it during the day and put it on
at night. It always has a full charge, it is strapped to my wrist tightly
and I have it on the entire night. Within the last 5 sessions I was only
able to get the sleep stages readout only once.
To my knowledge this issue has not been solved.
Thanks for trying!

Same here, Rick.
I've only had two successful sleep stages readouts in 2017 -- April 12 and April 22.
Some nights, it won't even log the sleep at the basic level, and so I have to enter it manually. This happens ~3 nights a week.
Sometimes, when I log it, it selects the correct times automatically, but most times, I have to enter accurate start and end times. (It will almost always select the current time as end time, so the sooner you check after awaking, the more likely you are to get that one selected automatically.)
It's quite disappointing. My wife's Charge2 is much more accurate/effective for her, so we plan to do a test where each of us goes to sleep with both devices and see what tracks what for whom.

@Tarkahn, your app will tell you why you are not seeing sleep stages. What does the app say?
You say the band iz on very tight, if it is too tight it restricts tye blood flow and will not be able to see your heart beat.
I can easil slide my pointer finger under the band and i always have sleep stages if im asleep long enough.

This may work for you, but I have tested all sorts of configurations of various tightness, looseness, and location on my hand and arm for several weeks now, and it still doesn't work.
This is not a people problem.

I'm a bit skeptical about the blood flow argument though I do appreciate
the suggestion. The blaze is not on my wrist so tight that it is
uncomfortable. When I say tight I mean snug , not cutting off
circulation. Still, I'll try anything so I'll loosen it one notch just to
experiment. Thanks!

@StacyCloutier a,good place to start is right on your app. Open up thd detail page of the sleep in question, the app will tell you why it was unable to calculate sleep stages. Let us know and we can go from there.
Where you asleep for at least 3 hours?
Dit the Charge 2 reliably read the heartrate?

Just remember to not tell it you are going to bed- let it detect your sleep
automatically. Should work

I don’t understand why I can’t see sleep stages. It worked for about a month after Christmas and hasn’t worked since. This shouldn’t be happening.

I am having the same problem with sleep stages. Got the Blaze for Christmas. Had this problem shortly after and Fitbit agent was able to resolve. Happened again a couple of weeks ago and got off chat with an agent who was essentially telling me that it was my fault it was not working, even though I am wearing it exactly the same way and always make sure battery is charged. Very frustrating!

Do you want to know something funny?
Since April 2017, I got no auto sleep stages on my Blaze. In fact, my Blaze almost went completely south back in October/November, but recovered mysteriously.
Then, in the past few months, I have had my phone capture 3 -- and only 3 -- sleep stages.
Two of those captures were within the space of the same week, but they recorded an abbreviated sleep timeframe (over an hour on both ends -- sleep and wake).
The third one, a few weeks back, was more accurate in the start and stop times, but then back to top secret mode.
So, for the past 18 months, I have captured 5 sleep stages captured.
