I have the most up to date app and my iphone is up to date as well. Yesterday, my sleep stages tracked, but last night it did not. I've restared the Fitbit, the phone, installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled. Nothing worked. Any idea how to fix?

Reset won't work because the app itself has been dumbed down to something useless

Not just a Blaze issue! My Fitbit Charge also worked for a bit but has now stopped recording sleep stages for two nights in a row... 😞

Yes it's the app that has been changed so perhaps the "solved " tag could be removed from this thread, nothing has been solved.

It's just a whimsical feature, so just enjoy it when it does work.
It is a whimsical feature for you. It is also a whimsical feature for me.
However, there are Fitbit owners or there who bought a fitbit with this feature because they have serious reasons to understand how they sleep.
Let's not forget this.
Fitbit either need to advertise the Fitbit as having a whimsical feature that might tell you how you've slept - if you are lucky.
That way their customers will only buy it on that basis.

My comment was complete sarcasm. I value the feature highly, and am
disappointed the wrinkles have not been ironed out.
Sorry about that. I had missed the sarcasm. We are obviously in agreement.
Apologies.

My Blaze only did sleep stages once. I have not changed habits. Every night since, it tracks basic info and doesn't give an error message. It does say a generic message about sleeping three hours. However, this message appears right above the line that shows I slept no less than 4.5 hours each night. Some days over 8. Still basic data only. Is my tracker defective?

I updated to the latest iOS version few days ago and now my blaze is not recording sleep stages. It had stopped doing so a few months ago but it got spontaneously fixed. Now stopped free the update. Please help!

Never mind! Somehow it is fixed again! Just disconnected Bluetooth, restarted the app and now I can see sleep stages again!

If you have the last update then sleep stages won't work. Why don't the moderators just admit it. Maybe they don't know either?

Hopefully it keeps working now. When I had the problem the first time months ago there was no suggestion from the moderators for fixing it. 😒

The latest version doesn't have detailed sleep stages, it just has a crappy, pointless overview of your sleep. Don't know about you but that's not what I paid for.

I updated my Blaze on July 5. I didn't start having problems with my Sleep Stages until July 13. I'm not sure the two things are connected. I've had my Blaze since Mother's Day and Sleep
stages were working fine until last week.

I am getting the in app messages about why Sleep Stages might not be working but I'm not doing anything differently than I was before - wearing the Blaze the same way, not using the "Sleep now" option (don't even know how to do that) and getting more than 3 hours Sleep) - but my Sleep Stages still aren't working.

Right!!!!! I get sleep stages for a few days then none, just blue sections of different shades. May start looking for another brand and company that doesn't try to lay it onto the customer to do this and that, still isn't working, but Oh it must be you didn't do it right. Restart, do this and then this....from what I am reading on this forum tells me that were just going in circles and will be until the actual firmware/programming has their bugs worked out and gone.

If your app is up to date when you don't see Sleep stages you will get a notice for the reason why..
Kindly please relay this info if your telling us that you did not see sleep stages.
As for this whimsical feature I've ha13 days since April 18th with the old style sleep.
Two of the days my bat Terry was to low to read my heart rate.
6 days I did not sleep at least 3 hours in a period.
And 2 days I did not sleep at all.
One day I wasn't sure of but the app now says my heart rate was not consistent.
