Step count decreasing after syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I had a long run this morning and made a point of reaching 20000 steps before 9am. When I synced with my app it registered and changed my watch total to 19033, it’s not the first time it’s happened, it’s frustrating. Has anyone else experienced it? Any idea what I’m doing wrong? Sorry if I’ve missed a relevant thread.

Hi there @GillsKezz. Great to see you in the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm very sorry to hear that your step count is decreasing when you sync your tracker. That's pretty strange.

I'm not sure what could be causing this but to help preventing it from happening again in the future, you can try giving your tracker a restart if you haven't done it already. You can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot.

If you've already tried that and it has not worked, you can also try setting up your Blaze as a new device. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem and shouldn't miss any of your information.

Hope this helps and please, let me know if you need more help with this!
