Steps WAY off - frustrated

I've had my blaze for a few months now and have not been happy with the amount of steps off...I just walked 500 steps to verify and the blaze only tracked 350/500 steps.  This has happened quite frequently in addition to not syncing properly.  Any suggestions?  My weight & height are accurate and I've even attempted to adjust my stride length which made the step count being off by greater numbers.  I'm ready to go back to my previous fitbit..

Welcome to the Forums @K-Bella! 🙂 Good to see you around!

I'm sorry to hear that your tracker seems not to be very accurate. Have you tried by any chance to restart it? This could help with the step count problem and the syncing problem. You can do this by pressing and holding the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot and see how it goes after that. Also, since your tracker works with an accelerometer which detects the movement, make sure to swing your arms while walking for it to know that you're actually walking and for it to count that as steps.

Let me know how it goes!

I have restarted mine several times in the months I have had one, including a replacement, and the pedometer function is always screwing up.  It will just "hang up" and stop counting, meaning I have missed getting credit for many hours over the months.  My feeling is that, when I paid $200 for a device, I shouldn't HAVE to restart it and even when I do, it still doesn't work.  I would switch to another brand, but Fitbit still rates out the best.

It's great to see you around @Wazzuski and thanks for troubleshooting this issue by yourself.

Since the restart procedure didn't work, I recommend keeping an eye on your inbox for further instructions.
