I am not seeing any documentation on the Blaze being packaged with or requiring a USB sync dongle like some of the other trackers. Will one be needed/shipped with the Blaze?

The Blaze will not ship with a sync dongle, but is compatible with the dongle for those who have one. As othe trackers it will be able to sync with computers using the computer bluetooth if running the Windows 10 app. Otherwise it will be able to sync to a computer using the charging cable.

It probably was overlooked in the description since the dongle would be needed to sync to the computer

Glad I got my dongle from my charge. I either sync using my phone or the dongle though that has been having issues lately.

Wow I wasn't expecting that. My laptop doesn't have bluetooth and my phone is a Galaxy SII which doesn't have the version of bluetooth required for syncing with Fitbit. I was going to give my Flex away after I got a Blaze. I'm going to have to order another wireless dongle because there's no way I'm going to plug in dozens of times a day just to sync!

@stacy_19201325 do you currently have a dongle from your current Fitbit? This dongle will work with the Blaze, all Fitbit models use the same dongle.
If your laptop is already setup to sync the Fotbit ypu have, then the laptop will be ready for the Blaze. Just need to do an add tracker.

I do have a dongle, but I am going to give away my Flex (including the dongle, since the recipient will need it).

Hi:
I reinstalled fitbitconnect on the mac for the Blaze. I selected Blaze. However the software is asking me for a dongle rather than trying to sync using the charging cable. How do I get around this?

You need to turn on your computer's bluetooth. You can't sync through the charging cord as it is just a charger.

Yup, charge cord is only for charging and doing hard-reset of the product.

Per customer support, no dongle for Fitbit Blaze. Blaze can sync from smartphone.
Blaze can sync with PC purchased with Windows 10. Blaze cannot sync on PCs with
upgraded version of Windows 10. PC must be purchased with Windows 10.
