Yeah I know, I'm about to return it, waitng for a reply from Fitbit support.... Dissapointing!
Best AnswerHi All,
Having the same issue with my Blaze and Galaxy S3. My Blaze does everything it's supposed to do, but read text message and disply who it's from. I am getting really frustrated, because there doesn't seem to a one way fix for this, I guess try multiple things and pray that it works?! There doesn't seem to be any real support either. I am definely wondering why I spent $200 for a device that doens't function like it's supposed to. Anyone have ideas? Thanks in advance.
Best AnswerThanks so much for the instructions!! I was on chat with a Fitbit agent for well over an hour for the same issue invloving Galaxy S4. The problem was I didn't have pop up display checked.
Best AnswerWhile I was on chat for the same issue, the agent told me to choose Message instead of Message+ as my default app. I don't have that choice on my phone, we ended up fixing with checking the pop up box, but just to let you know about changing your defaults, it may help.

Best AnswerI have called Fitbit support twice now, so I could get two dffernt opinions. On both calls I was told I'd have to wait for an update. On my last calls, I was actually told that if I want to see what the text message says, I'd have to look at my phone! I exclaimed, the Blaze was not advertized to work this way! I cannot believe Fitbit didn't create their software to work on the older Galaxies. It's maddening really!
Best Answer@spukibugg the big your referring to has more to do with the way Android handles pop ups, and your messaging app, then it has to do with Fitbit.
A message comes in, the app sends a request to the operating system to pop up for view. Fitbit takes this popup and sends it to the watch.
Now for the messaging apps, I easily see 30+ popular ones in the play store. Most of the default apps send the body of the text when their is only one unread message, if multiple messages are unread they will send the names.
In general what shows up on the Blaze should match what shows in the pop-up on the phones lock screen.
Google Messaging is one of the exceptions that I found, with all text bodies showing up on the lock screen and the Blaze.
Best AnswerWhen a person send me more than one text or multiple person send me a text. I can't seem to expand on it to see both of the text. I can see the text if only one person sent only sent one message. but, when i get more than that or more than one person, It doesn't expand for me to read multiple text.
Best AnswerWhat your seeing @PIntharansy1 will depend on what messaging app your using? Fitbit sends the pop-ups to the Blaze, just like they are when the pool up on the phone.
The default ap Message, will send the body of the text while there are no other unread messages, otherwise it ends a list of the sender's. Fitbit has no control over this, I use Google Messenger and find the body of every message gets to the Blaze.
Best AnswerLooks like my thread was moved here, but I don't see my original question. So I guess it's about unsupported language on call notifications?
Anyways, with all these popups enabled in notifications I still get wrong language and squares instead of a caller name in Russian.
Best AnswerThank You been back and forth with Fitbit support and they did not seem to know this.
Best AnswerHi Rich_Laue,
Thanks for replying. I have tried multiple text messaging apps, and none of them seem to work. Someone suggested Handscent, I downloaded, and changed the text messaging app on my Fitbit dashboard as well, It still didin't work.
It seems like I will just have to keep trying difernt messaging apps until I strike gold and it actually works.
Thanks anyway!
