innacurate Heart rate monitor

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have the Blaze and recently noticed that the heart rate monitor has been way off.  It will show my heart rate is at 75 even when I'm not wearing the watch.  When I am in the middle of an intense workout it loses the heart rate all together.  I have tried wearing it higher up on my wrist, and making sure that it is not too tight, and I take it off to wipe down when it stops working but none of that does seems to help.  I understand that when lifting weights your wrists move more and can effect the heart rate sensor, but even when my wrists are stationary the sensor is way off.  I finish most of my workouts with 20-30 min on the stair climber, and my hands are on the railing but the sensor either says my heart rate is very low at 75 or non existent.

Also the battery has been dying rapidly.  I took it off the charger this morning at 7am and at 11:46am today, it is already down half way.

It's great to see you around @AVFerrusquia. If your heart rate information is not being accurate, I recommend restarting your Blaze. After the restart process, please take a look at this post, where you will be able to see some things that might be affecting this reading and some tip to improve it. Now about the battery, here you will find some instructions to follow.

I have tried all of those things from those posts.  I have tried wearing it higher on my wrist, I have tried rebooting it, I made sure it is not on too tight, and I even tried wearing it on the bottom side of my wrist (as seen in other posts).  I believe it is a software issue caused by the most recent update because of the false reading I get when not wearing the tracker.  It will say my heart rate is at 65, when the tracker is sitting on the counter top.

Thanks for the information @AVFerrusquia. Since the steps provided didn't work, I recommend keeping an eye on your inbox for further instructions.

I received a replacement tracker and I am still having the same issue.  I know it a compatibility issue with the Galaxy s8.  Do you know if there is an update coming soon to solve this issue?  There is a thread that was started all the way back in April, but there hasn't been any solutions.
